RACE BANDITS ARE THE WORST.  i should head over to TT and start a thread about it.

I will pretend to be offended.

I have actually only bandited a race once - sort of by accident. I did my prescribed run for the day, ending at a coffee shop. Got coffee and walked to the start of a 5K in my neighborhood intending to cheer people on. Alllll my buddies were there and before I knew it, I had finished my coffee and was running with them. I mean, I would have HAD to run the race route to get home anyway... it just happened to be with all of the racers.

Before you arrest me I just want to say that I take full responsibility.
And - I went back after and donated to the charity. I know, I'm a horrible person.

You are a terrible, terrible person.  Even if you do take responsibility for your actions, you are morally corrupt and you should be flogged or something to atone for your sins.

I am so totally offended!

She's a witch!!  Burn her!!

Or see if she floats, like a duck, at least.

That would be weighs as much as a duck...

- So, logically--
- If she weighs the same as a duck...
- she's made of wood!
- And therefore?
- A witch!

Further proof you are way out of his league!

I need to watch that movie again - the holy hand grenade, the Black Knight, the Knights who say Ni... so many awesome scenes!

Ugh... stay AWAY from the ham.  Maybe there should be a hazardous materials sign put on it?

If Ham is being spelled SPAM, a HazMat warning would be redundant.

Of course, it would never actually go bad then, either.

Um, no co-worker who is also in a bathroom stall at the same time as me, I do NOT want to have a conversation with you while we're both doing our business. Though it was nice to walk into the loo and have the soothing Asian-inspired  music playing from your phone even if it was frequently interrupted by your flushing of the toilet.

And please remember to wash your hands after.

What do I think?  Not much, honestly.  I try not to let the little things get me down.  Obviously, as a general "rule follower", I don't care for those that break them or think they don't apply...  But whatever....  Doesn't mean they are bad people, or never follow rules.

I don't like speeders or people the double park or whatever, but I also know it happens and don't waste energy getting upset.

OR, I could just be jealous of them because I don't have the balls to do it myself.  Maybe fear of getting caught keeps me from being a career criminal?

Did she (assuming it was a she) at least time the flushes with the music?  Like a cymbal crash as the music crescendoes?

If so, then you at least have to award Style Points.

No co-ordination whatsoever.  It made me sad.  I was hoping she would switch to Bohemian Rhapsody to get some of the cymbal crashes well-timed, but alas, it was not to be.

How do you tell someone nicely that you don't really want to talk when you're in the stalls?  I'm in there to do my business and then get out, if you want to chat, maybe do that in the kitchen area?

If you remove the word nicely, I have some ideas... otherwise, I'm at a loss.  Maybe just let a fart rip in the middle of her question?

And the lack of style with the flushing makes me sad.   What is the purpose of the music if you are going to talk over it AND ignore using it as a flush cue? Amateurs, sheesh.

Good question. The job I really want and have interviewed successfully for is under a hiring freeze. Don't know when or if that"ll lift. This is software sales to labs for data management and compliance. Something I cam certainly do, but love it? Maybe.

I've always felt that being able to love what you do is a bonus, but in the end, unless what you are doing is what you would choose to do if you were independently wealthy, whatever you do, it is simply what you do so that you can afford to do the things you actually WANT to do.

So, as long as the job covers those things, reasonably at least, then it's a good job.

Fingers crossed for ya, man!!

Thanks Chris. It seems like a good job and an interesting product. Just that it's removed from my core competency in biochemistry and more lab informatics and management. Something I certainly appreciate and know, but it always seemed more a task than a passion.

Just had another recruiter call this morning with a phone screen. From a volume perspective, things are going well.

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
