*Running somewhere quiet. No motorbikes.
(That's a very early run here!
) Especially, running for no specific purpose, just for the sake of running, especially on a few favorite loops.
*On vacation, enjoying a morning cup of tea or coffee while admiring some scenery
(even if it's just our back yard in Oregon
), in no hurry to go anywhere.
*A really good hot latte on a cold day. No flavors or gimmicks.
*Lying on the couch/in bed with a cat and a good book, especially when it's raining outside.
*Swimming in an indoor pool while it rains or snows like crazy outside.
(Don't know why, but it's cool.
)
*The way cats put their paws on you when they sleep to show they want you to stay with them.
*Reading my students' writing.
*Food. Really simple stuff like fresh fruits and veggies, salmon, a good steak. No artificial stuff.
*Sleeping when you're really tired, knowing there's no need to get up early.
*A nice cool summer day in the woods, with a picnic lunch in my backpack, and a nice long trail to hike.
*The way my kitten chortles and my big cat chirps. Always wonder what they're saying and if they understand each other.
*Going back into the ocean after a race.
