I'm a little late to the party, but I want to play.

Today - 113.5

Goal - 109

I was down under 105 in August and while 8lbs might not seem like that much, i'm only 4'11" so it shows alot more on me than someone 6" taller.

back in, a little late.  Don't know what my 10/31 weight was, so going from here...   Goal is to maintain <190 for the off season, then drop to 180-185 for next race season.

11/7 - 190.2

Haha I know it sounds dramatic.. those numbers are not the whole story though.
For the past few weeks I will have an "off" day or low blood sugar and eat stuff that makes me feel better but I KNOW will blow me up like a balloon - eating that stuff because I feel so depleated from day after day after day of being good. In turn, my weight will shoot up 4 pounds and it takes me all week to get it back down to where I started. This is the 2nd week I've gained this amount so it's frustrating and not a pattern I want to continue.

Time to suck it up

That's interesting actually. One day of carbs per week is doing that? I used to run a fairly strict diet (4 Hour Body) where I HAD to gorge on HGI carbs one day per week so that my body didn't start storing fat by "accidentally" going into starvation mode. In fact I've got a pasta dinner planned for Sunday evening (yes, already) for just such an occasion. Is it possible you are low on overall calories and/or close enough to your "ideal" weight that your body is fighting back? .4 pounds is about 1 cup of water.

My guess is the bolded.
I'm eating a lot of calories, but very little carbs.

I forgot to report on myself. Back on 9/15/2013, I committed to not drink diet soda. Well this weekend I slipped. I ordered a Roy Rogers at the Santa Barbara pier. I totally thought I was getting a Shirley Temple. Opps, i drank it and it was good. LOL I really did laugh at myself.

Drinking Diet Soda or Coke, is a habit for me. I sitll have to everytime I go into a Gas Station tell myself no to the soda machine in the corner.

Oh Well, One Soda in 7 weeks, I know will not kill me, But I am still staying away from those things.

This month I am truly thinking about giving up one other thing to make myself more healthy. ANY SUGGESTIONS.

John

What do you have in your diet still that isn't the healthiest? Or you could flip it around and add one healthy thing to every meal or every day as another way to eat healthier (just a thought).

Good job on dropping the soda! That one was a tough one for me too!

Good point on making it about a positive (adding) rather than taking away. I still eat way too much processed or fast food. But I am trying to quantify that into a serious goal. Also when I tally my nutrition into Carbs versus Protein versus Fat, I am not on schedule to a "correct" ratio.

But when I put it into a positive, I think I am moving towards adding one green vegetable to every meal/day. I eat very few salads and green veggies. I just do not really like them.

How about cutting back to processed food no more than one meal a day if you want to go the removal route? Or if you're already there, one day a week. Baby steps and all.

If green veggies don't do it for you ... add in more fruit per day? I know not the same, but it might help you cut other things in favor of it.

Either way, good luck and best success!

Funny story. . .I weighed myself after running this morning and was 160. After taking a shower I was 162. WTF?! So I blow dried my hair, went to the bathroom and then weighed myself again --161. I'm going to split the difference and officially post at 161.

Nov 1: 162
Nov 13: 161

Weight loss is slowing down, but I'm trying to stick with it. Keeping up my exercise and trying not to go overboard in the evenings. This is my most challenging time.

10/30: 143.4
11/06: 144.2
11/13: 145.8

Bleh, not what I wanted to see today. I've been staying in my calorie range, but have been eating a lot more carbs than I know I should, and the overall quality of my diet has not been super. Started Monday on keeping carbs to 100g and focusing on nutrient-dense foods. Hopefully that will help.

Starting Weight: 231
11/6: 226.5
11/13: 228
Goal Weight: 219.
Not a good week. Wife had knee surgury, so i had hospital food for 3 days. Also, worked out on Friday, nothing on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Got in a good run today. the rest of the week should be good. Next week gets a little tough, as i have a business dinner on Monday, and then travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. come back on Friday. so the workouts will be hard to come by.

217 for 11/1
219 for 11/6
218 for 11/13

Monthly Goal 212, but realistically 215.

I did the Santa Barbara Half Marathon this weekend, and the night before my back and foot hurt so bad I did not think I was going to DNF. I started with a better attitude than I went to bed with, and ran the first 5k in my fastest time ever. I was in pain but it was manageable. When I hit the 10k mark i was still at a pretty good pace and was faster than I have been. I finished 1 minute slower than my PR.

Had great seafood and a wonderful time, one of the better races.

Did not have a major increase in weight either.

Nice job on your race, especially if you were in pain before it!

For the start of my journey I decided to give up Ginger Ale, which is the only pop I drink, but I'd drink a litre a day. So far, so good. No slip ups.
