Subject: January 2014 AB's Challenge

No,not an ABC challenge, but an Ab's Challenge.  

The challenge is to improve your ab's by increasing the number of sit-ups, crunches, leg raises and time holding a plank each day.  Every 4th day is a rest day.  In 30 days you will go from:

  • 15 sit-ups to 125
  • 5 crunches to 200
  • 5 leg raises to 65
  • 10 sec plank to 120 seconds.

Not too sure I can make all of those increases.  But I will give it a shot.  I will wind up better than where I am.

Ok, I am in. I will do the best I can. My hubby will be doing it along with me as well.
With triathlon training starting, getting to the gym to do body pump strength classes will be hard.

Can't do situps though, they hurt my back. Can I substitute Russian Twists or something?

Day one complete, I have been slack this past year on anything other than running and boy could I tell with the first day. I really need this and need to keep motivated to do it after this challenge is done.

I did this in conjunction with my 40mins full body HIIT workout and the 20 mins of ab workout I had planned for today.
