Age Group Rank = 2/24
Pre-race routine:

Went with less food this time - 3/4 a cliff bar and a gu 10 min before. No coffee or gator.

Zoot ultra shorts, Kinvara 4 (they are done), tech and long tech shirts, with mittens.

Event warmup:

2k jog, no sprints as both inner quads are tight as hell from crossfit/obstacle day.

Run
  • 38m 55s
  • 10 kms
  • 03m 53s  min/km
Comments:

Slightly injured, lingering cough - so can't complain about this result. 1 min faster than last year.

Warm down:

Huge brunch, waiting around for draw prizes (free flights, 1000 dollars in gift cards - it's crazy).

Event comments:

Race has incredible door prizes, and a huge fancy brunch afterwards. My favorite race of the year for that sort of thing.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had weight issues. I remember standing on the scale as a child weighing 60 pounds and feeling fat. My family dealt with stress by eating.
