Hey BT! What's everyone up to on this fine Sunday!? Still rainy, windy and pretty much cruddy weather here. So for me this morning was a 1:30 trainer ride/ 30 minute run/ upper body strength stuff. Our city pool isn't open yet due to a pump problem so I think I'll head out to Blue tomorrow morning.Have a great day!

What a coincidence; the pool I swim at closed on Friday due to pump or pipe problems. Hopefully not for too long for either of us.

This morning was a 12.5 mile ride on my usual bike trail. Still had one road crossing under construction to walk the bike over. I still shaved almost 2 minutes off my previous best time. I've been experimenting with riding on the drops instead of the clip on aeros. I think I like the drops better. I also adjusted the seat height a bit, which I think made more of a difference than where my hands were.

This afternoon my daughter and I went on a 4 to 5 mile roundtrip ride to the park to play frisbee for a bit. More relaxing than a workout, though getting the old Schwinn to move is a bit more difficult than the aluminum Trek. I bet the thing weighs twice as much as it sits right now.

Anybody race today?

Have a great evening all,

J White

Nothing unless you count running through airports. I made my tight connection in San Francisco, as did my bags, including Rover (bike), but sadly, he seems to have gotten lost somewhere between San Francisco and here. Still haven't gotten any update from the bag tracker or the airline. Looks like he either missed the next flight to Eugene or they never found him. I can't believe this--I pay $200 for United to LOSE MY BIKE????????

Wondering what my chances are of seeing him again--when I go online it says they are "still tracing". It's been over seven hours since I turned him over to transfer baggage at SFO. Got to wonder if that bike is really there or not.

That's so sad. You could write a song like these guys did.

If the bag tracker is on the level, Rover has apparently been located and flown in on the redeye, (maybe he met a cute Cervelo in the SF airport and they decided to have a little layover?) and hopefully will be delivered sometime today.

Find it alarming that a large. bright red bike bag can go AWOL for almost 18 hours in a majorUS airport, given all the security concerns and such.

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
