Pre-race routine:

School all day, then the grocery store, rushed home threw my clothes on and left. I made sure to eat a good lunch and a bag of WW pretzels around 4 pm.

Comments:

I just ran hard. My legs felt great and my stride felt really natural. Didn't bother with the water station. I was wheezing quite badly by the time we were done.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Asthma...my chest hurt really badly the third mile and I just couldn't squeak out any more. I don't think I could have gone much farther without slowing down considerably.

Event comments:

Just sort of a nice, homey race, nothing fancy but fun to do. And the hardware was a nice surprise (although I don't know how many were in my age group...maybe 4 LOL!)
