2:03 on the trainer this morning.

Plan was mid/high cadence and keep it up for a couple hours.

Done and Done. Goes into the books as a 45 mile ride.

Pouring rain and generally crappy looking here.

Have a good day!

Nice ride!

Got up and knocked out a good bit of yard work while it was still cool this morning. 85’ on the trainer afterwards since I was sweaty anyways. Long run on the schedule for tomorrow.

Everyone have a great weekend!

I did the Sufferfest 4dp test this am. Measured 5sec/1min/5min/20min power numbers. The power/HR results carry over to the workouts so the smart trainer delivers accurate resistance based on the profile. Not a new concept but I haven't had more than a thumbnail of an FTP test in a while so it's kind of a fresh start for me. The test itself lasted an hour and, predictably, it was a booger.

About to get on the treadmill for 5 or so miles..

Be excellent to each other..

Since the Duathlon that I wanted to do on the 28th was canceled I did a a time trial duathlon.  IT was my first Duathlon and I was really currouse how my spread from the opening 5K to the closing 5K would be.   I think the HR graph below tells it all.  The  opening 5K I ran a 19:09 running is HR Zones 2-3.  The closing 5K was right at 20 minutes and was Heart Rate Zone 5 the whole way.  The closing 5K has hard.  I had to resort to the run-walk-run to get through it.  I ran 1/2 mile walked 15 seconds then ran for half mile the whole way.  It was a fun and nice to get outside.

Du's are tough! Pretty sure you overworked the first run and the bike if you had to run/walk the second 5K. My coach said the first run should be more of a warm-up for the bike. But that's always hard when it comes first and you're fresh.

1:50 of biking here with a bunch of big-gear intervals at about HIM watts, plus 15 minutes of our tri club's "Dry Land Swim Challenge". Big gears plus wall sits--fun times!
