![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Good morning BT!! Yeah, completely random new guy showing up and starting this thread. ![]() (I'm not technically "new" to BT as I've been a member for 4-5 years or so - i just haven't been around much the last year). Anyway! What's on everyone's schedule for workouts today?? I've gotten back in to running (YAY!) and it's been going really well, slowly building my base back up. Today is an easy 3 on the trails during my lunch break. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Love the random..I'm gonna run today, prob on the treadmill. Nothing special planned but 5-7mi seems about right. Good luck with base-build; perfect time of year for that if you're looking to sign up for races in 2021. But even if not, running on trails is its own reward! |

I love being out on the trails this time of year as the leaves start turning and falling, and the heat and humidity go away from summer. |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I haven't been on here in quite awhile now. Today I had a core & weights WO then a 3.2m run. Building up for the Nov 29th Half Marathon we signed up for before COVID which is offering a virtual option so I need to stay focused. At least it's something to do. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Originally posted by robertChiefsFan Good morning BT!! Yeah, completely random new guy showing up and starting this thread. ![]() Dozens of people have started the daily training thread over the 5 years I have been on BT. One person used to do her workouts at about 4:30 AM every day and would sometime have the thread started by 6AM. Some days it seemed like a race to see who could be the first person to post what they had done for their workout. I started things at 6AM this morning with 60 minutes of the bike trainer with the main set being 4x6' @ super threshold pace with 6' Rest Interval. I might do a short 1000 yd swim this evening. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Haha...I used to have the ultimate advantage in early posting because I lived in Vietnam and was 12-15 hours ahead of everyone else....but I was usually too lazy to post! Not really training for anything at this point--I've kind of given up on things like goals and signing up for races for the time being--but I did manage to get into the pool today. Was finally back in decent swim shape and then lost over 2 weeks due to pool closures (smoke and ash from nearby wildfires) and air just too awful to contemplate OWS. Signing up for pool slots (tough to get, and very strictly limited to a max of 8 60-minute slots every 3 weeks) has been an ongoing struggle. They keep changing how and when and now it looks like after next week (when I can, theoretically, sign up for three more weeks), the online signup, which often closes with a few minutes, will probably be when I have to be "live" with my class (teaching online). That's if the pool's even open anymore--depends on case numbers. Stuff like this is why I just can't have training or race "plans" at this point. Anyway, I got in 2700 meters of swimming tonight, and any day I can get in the water is a good day! |
