Comments:

T1 was terrible. The way the transition was set up was first come first served so I was as far away as possible from the bike out and run out.
2:03 for first T1 no time recorded for second T1.
Bike tipped over in the sand so water bottle spilled all of my water. No water on bike.
What would you do differently?:

Move closer to bike out.

Good run. fastest I've ever run and still ranked 55/58 and 49/58.
What would you do differently?:

Try and run a little harder on last run. Don't leave anything in the tank
Post race
Warm down:

drank Gatorade and ate a muffin. Then went for a 62 mile ride up the coast.
4:20:00 (long day)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

big fat belly

Event comments:

It was a good race, especially as a triathlon interval workout. The hard part was there was only 5 minutes from the time the last person in your wave finished before the start of the second race. I didn't want to put the wetsuit back on and it was mentally tough getting ready to do it again. Long bike ride was really fun but I didn't bring a jersey with pockets so no food! Bad Idea! I was really hurting and got dropped on several occasions. Of course my friends had no sympathy and kept the pace around 19 mphh. They had to keep waiting for me so I had the last laugh.

I thought the long ride would be a casual ride...go nice and slow, stop and get a burrito, etc. My friends wanted a training ride and I was outvoted!

I would have prefered girls on jetskis, but what can you do?

Nice bike speed! I think your run was a good pace. It's hard work getting to that pace. Keep it up.

Go Fast!

What an interesting format! I don't think I've seen that before! And then you biked 62 miles after that?? You're nuts! Congrats on a great race!
