use this...

[ img = {param} ]

where {param} is your image URL and eliminate the spaces.

ok, sounds simple enough, but when I try to add the photo, all I am getting is the x in the box.  I have eliminated the spaces, and I am copying the URL from the properties in the album.

Here is a sample of the Picture I am trying to add.  Can you tell me whats wrong?

Get rid of the '{ }' - they are just there to tell you it's an insertion.

I must be dumb as a box of rocks, I just do not get it.....maybe explain it like I am 2 or like I am a computer moron

Betsy,
It's not obvious, so here you go.

Assuming that you are using a PC.

Right click on the web image that you want to paste into the comment or the message. Go down to properties, and left click on properties. That will bring up a screen that has a bunch of information. One of the fields is titled "Address: (URL)" Copy that field. For example, on the front page of Beginnertriathlete, the address for Bob Stocks' picture is:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/articleimages/1316/home.jpg

Now, in the message that you are typing, where you want to insert the image, type in the following (removing the space between the [ and the img) and insert the address that you copied from step 1. So the result will look like:
[ img=http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/articleimages/1316/home.jpg]

If you remove the space between the [ and the img, this will result in the following:

Lisa, those instructions are to insert images in Inspires. To insert pictures use the button in the toolbar that looks like this:  tree

The picture has to be on the web already, you can't upload directly from your computer to the training log. If you want to use a picture that's in your BT album, make sure that you get the url by right-clicking on the picture, not by copying what's in your browser's address bar.

Thank you!  I thought there was an insert but the tree just wasn't what I would looked for.  Worked like a charm - and as an added bonus I can add pics to inspires.

We mean that to put an image in an inspire, the image can't be just on your computer. It has to be the internet somewhere for other people to see it.

To get a picture on the web, you can upload it to an online album such as your albums here on BT, or a site like Imageshack. Then follow the instructions given earlier in this thread.

Will there ever be a time when we can upload pics directly from our computers?  To me, that would be so much easier!
