Subject: RE: ?? for bike commuters re: rest daysI'm not quite up to it yet, but I plan to commute 26 miles round trip and count it is a bike workout. That way I can get in two hours of riding for the price of one! I only add 1 hour to my schedule, because it already takes me an hour round trip in the car. I'll only do it 2 or 3 times a week and push more on the way home, because there is only so much baby wipes can do. So if it is your rest day, allow extra time and have an active recovery. You can squeeze in your workout on the way home by adding intensity and taking the long way home. This way you reclaim that commute time for yourself. |
