Thanks to everyone for hanging in there.  I was gonna make an aluminum foil skirt out of my space blanket but didn't have the energy so I tossed it off.  I had to sprint at the end to get ahead of that other clown who was taking his time coming in.  I figured what the heck, show a little flab at then end.  OK....I'm goin to bed!!

Thanks everybody! Everytime I saw a sign for a BTer on the course I thought of all you watching and supporting us online. As mentioned, the heat was worse than expected. And the bright sun made for a pretty day but tough run conditions. I spent an hour or so in medical from dehydration, but was fine after that.It was a tough day but a phenomenal experience. Thanks BT!

Thank you everyone for all of your support and advice over the like 2 years I've been on the website.

It was a tough day out there- the swim was just brutal, the winds really picked up the second loop (a little before the big downhill stretch there is some much smaller downhill areas- with the wind it felt like I was climbing not desceding.  It started off cold on the bike (it was like 46 before the race) but got warmer as the day went on.  The run was hot in the beginning, even with how late I started the run. Then it got pretty chilly on the run.  But amazing volunteers and spectators out there, and the last 2.5 miles especially, even finishing just after 11PM was unbelievable with all the spectator support, like nothing I've experienced before.

And oh year, I ran the entire marathon, no walking breaks even at the aid stations (I can drink when running without any problems).  It was slow, but I can run that pace all day long.  Still wound up in medical- I fell on the bike when I dropped my chain and cut up my leg a bit, but they measured my temperature and it was like 93-94 degrees according to them so they made me stay in there even though I felt fine and really never felt cold.

Great job!  It was a lot of fun tracking the progress of each of you over the course of the day.  Truly inspiring.  Looking forward to reading the race reports.
