I'm packing mine, just in case. As I hate cold water. Better safe than sorry.

As for the rain, it's not going to rain. And even if it does, there's no way it will rain for 8 hours (how long I'll be racing!).

Is ANYONE getting any work done TODAY???  The adrenaline is already pumping...

Where did I put my list of things to do so I don't forget to do them...

Will I wear bike shorts under my wetsuit? Will I even have a wetsuit on?  If I don't, will bike shorts cause more drag?  Will the restaurant on Saturday night use too much butter, garlic, etc?  Water belt on the run, or rely only on aid stations?  Do I have any fish feeders to drop in before I leave?  Do I want to cover my bike Sat night with a plastic sheet to keep the birds from roosting on it...go to Lowe's to get one...print directions to hotel, expo, restaurant...it goes on and on...

Get....here...fast....Sunday!!!

I'm trying to work, but it's not turning out so well. I can't believe it's almost time! I went to the longhorntri.com site this morning and they have the participant list posted so you can check and see your bib number (at least I'm assuming that's what the number is). I'm 433.

OMG Regan...I was kinda calm until I read your post!!!  OK, idea for you!  Buy some really cheap plastic shower caps.  Put them on your aero bars and saddle when you rack on Saturday.  Much smaller than trash bags and it does not look go ghetto!  I did this for the Disney tri (was able to "steal" them fom the hotel, but it worked great.

Relax.  we are going to have a blast.  I can tell them not too much butter and garlic!!

Bike shorts? What about tri shorts?

I did a butt test. Basically I rode 2 nights back to back in just my tri shorts, if my butt wasn't in major pain, I knew I could make it 56 miles in tri shorts.

If my sensitive and picky butt can wear tri shorts, yours can. Especially if you are going to be in aero most of the time. I'll be riding a roadie (leaving the tri bike at home due to the hills)... and I'll be on my sitbones a lot.

But yea, I think I need to make a checklist of stuff to take, because I'm dreaming about the race.

Bettas can go for weeks without eating...so you can cross fish feeders off your list. Trust me, I have 3 starving bettas here that can prove they need very few feedings to survive!

I"m getting nothing done today,, it's more due to patients cancelling though.. I have been able to consume 4 doughnuts, 6 dt mountain dews, 2 monster drinks  [low carb so I can eat more doughnuts].  yes I'm a stress eater..

I'm about to go into a meeting where I have to sit quietly and be calm.... I'm thinking one more monster drink will have them asking me to leave by the ten minute mark
