  • Comments: Great race! I get lost very often when I race because I'm usually on my own, but the course was so well marked there was no problem at all! The time system they used was the best I've seen, got my splits almost immediately.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: this course is too hard based off my out-of-shapeness right now. in general, though, this could be good. i think i liked it slightly better when it was at cherry creek, but i dunno.

  • Comments: Considering the recent floods and crazy weather, this went extremely well with a lot of participants. Nice course. Everything was very organized and the long sleeve tech-tee is nice, too. Will do this race next year.

  • Comments: the course was HARD because of the hill, but i see that as me just needing to increase my abilities to climb the hills rather then the course being too hard

  • Comments: Racing Underground always does a great job with their events! They really have it down and make it a good experience for everyone. If I have anything to complain about it would be the course being long. Maybe it was my garmin but other people seemed to thing it was long as well. I don't really mind running that extra half mile. I would just like to know ahead of time if the course is 3.1 or 3.6 miles.

  • Comments: ok bike and run transistion entry/exits were backwards. Who starts a bike on a sidwalk, and the run on a two lane road? Who tries to feed 600 athletes with only one line to one food table. Maybe 6 vendor booths, no organization between volunteers. I, along with a multitude of others, didn't even get the race goody bag. We were just given the race shirt registration packet. Overall a bunch of small petty things, but together 1+2+3= a questionable race for next year. I also didn't like having to share 100% of the road with cars. Most races at least give us a lane to be in, even half of a normal lane would be good, but I saw several riders who were in situation that would have steamed me good. I was lucky and was alone most of the ride. Easy to stay out of thier way, but one time I saw 4 bikers trying to pass each other at the same time a van and a large RV were trying to pass 4 riders abreast on a two lane road. As bad as I have made it sound, I must not be too unpleased. I am about to click

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: What an awesome day for the event! Clear skies and temps in the 50s to start and warmed well into the 70s or 80s. I like supporting Racing Underground. I have never been disppointed with any of the events they have managed and they usually have good post race activities, including prize drawings. This year they gave a way a set of Zipp wheels! I would definiately do this event again but I would have a couple suggestions: 1. make sure the bike course (or any couse) is what you say it is. it's one thing to be off by maybe a half mile. but I estimate that the bike portion was 1 1/2 mile long! 2. Get a beer sponsor! I'm willing forego # 1 for #2. :)

  • Comments: I'm not sure I'll do another race at Cherry Creek until they repave the road, I find the cracks to be really brutal in some sections and they suck my will to go faster. I liked the transition set up that Tri the Creek did in the same space much better. It was less crowded and shorter to get through. Crescent Moon should talk to them next year about how they did it.

  • Comments: Overall I think this went awesome, for my Very First Triathlon!!!! 92 out of 613 finishers isn't too shabby for a newbie! I am hooked though! I need to make some local friends though, so I'm not so on my own all the time!

  • Comments: So, after looking at all the race results, I discovered that I would have placed 3rd in EVERY AGE GROUP BUT MINE!!!!!!! I placed 11th in my age group and I'M BITTER! Get out of my age group you fast Beeotches! I was top 10% out of all women and top 25% overall, including men. It was a good race, I felt fast and I set another PR....but how in the world does that get me 11th!!!!!!!! Maybe when I age up next year, some of the fast women will stay put. I sure hope so! Or I'm just going to have to get faster! It was a good way to end the season. I had so much fun with Kristi and Cathy and I couldn't have asked for a better group to race with. I love BT and all my friends from here!

  • Comments: Mixed feelings about the race. On the one hand I find myself comparing my triathlon races to my golf game. If one element is going well, another is not clicking. Then I think that maybe my body is beginning to learn (especially after a dismal Boulder Peak) how fast it can go at this point with still allowing for a halfway decent finish. If anyone had told me the day before the race that I'd average 19+ on the bike and then PR the run, I'd have been thrilled. That said, I guess I'm happy with my race, but disappointed that it's the last one of the year.

  • Comments: I almost bailed out of this race because of my lack of training. Friends and hubby convinced me to do it and I'm glad I did. I felt as if I put out a 100% effort and did well. It was a slower field than most races, but that was nice because it actually gave me people that I could chase down. Several girls blew by me on the bike that I later caught and passed on the run(yes, me! on the run!). The race was a bit disorganized and I only saw 1 water station the entire time(at mile 1 on the run) and that was not enough. It would have been nice to have one right out of transition. This race reminded me of how much I LOVE this sport!
