  • Comments: 3D as usual was excellent with the Event. I would do it again. The bike course was a blast despite a couple of tiring (but not overwhelming) hill climbs. Going down them was a blast though. This was my best overall finish in a sprint, which I had kind of expected given my training volumes since January. Now I'll spend the rest of the season getting humbled at the Olympic distance.

  • Comments: Would have preferred more than just fruit, granola bars and pizza for post race food. I like non-sugarly/non-fatty carbs like prezels, bagels, bananas. Stomach can't handle too much sugar or fat right after a race.

  • Comments: More consistent training in the weeks leading up to the race and a better race week strategy should have resulted in a better overall time. I had fun but was dissapointed with the end outcome.

  • Comments: The race results on site were all wrong...it seemed like a lot of the people that got awards probably didn't actually place in their AG. And it took FOREVER for them to update and get the results on their website. But...I DID win a wetsuit in the raffle! That was AWESOME!

  • Comments: The course was challenging, but there were serious timing issues with 3d. My times were pretty accurate (I had my hr watch on and started and stopped it properly) but I was placed in the wrong age group according to USAT rules. I am 44, but will be 45 this year, and should have been in the 45-49 age group. I was in the 40-44 age group, and it doesn't really matter to me...but...it was incorrect. I also know of many athletes with incorrect timing issues, some who only had partial postings at the event, missing splits, etc. I hope 3d gets these issues resolved quickly for future events. (UPDATE-3D GOT THE AGE GROUP RATINGS UP, PUT ME IN THE PROPER AGEGROUP-- THEY SEEMED TO GET THINGS CORRECT,ALTHOUGH THE MALE CLYDES ARE ALSO RANKED IN THEIR AGEGROUPS FOR THE SPRINT) The folks working the event seemed nice and happy to help out newbies like me...always a bonus! Totally had a blast meeting folks from BT, my gym, and prior races, and racing with JoGo!

  • Comments: Other than the SNAFU with the goggles, I'm pleased with how I did. This was my first triathlon. I hadn't done any training at all until October of last year. I can't wait to do it again.

  • Comments: I enjoyed this race and would certainly do it again. The park setting is very nice with a grassy transition area. The sprint swim is a short all out 500m, the bike course offers some challenging hills, and the run course has a nice combination of pavement, gravel, flats, hills, sun, and shade.

  • Comments: The timing was WAY off for me and they gave me 1st Athena... which I so did not win! I gave back the award and the timing was still not changed. My times posted here are all estimates for right now. Once official results are posted, I will have a for real breakdown of events. Overall results posted, no AG yet due to still figuring out where everyone ended up. Will update more when available! Wow! I placed 4th out of 19 in my age group! Awesome time over all- just lousy time tracking - a lot of disputes during awards!

  • Comments: I thought this was a great first race for me. I had done the course several times and felt very comfortable. Really wish I pushed harder. I felt like it was a day in the park. I really liked cheering people on-totally NOT like me, but couldn't help myself.

  • Comments: The organizers did a great job. There was a bit of a delay in the start, but not a big deal. The course was well laid out and planned. Even though I performed very poorly, I had a good time. I had a REALLY good time. While I was on the course, I didn't spend much time beating myself up over times and effort, I just enjoyed the day. I learned a lot, and my next race will show a MASSIVE improvement.

  • Comments: I had a blast - if there were half points, I'd probably give it a 4.5. My only disappointment, really, was that I didn't know when my wave was supposed to start until I got to the race - but maybe that was an oversight on my part. I was in the last wave, which meant that I had a lot of waiting.
