  • Comments: This must be a good race if we keep coming back. It can't be the weather, that's for sure. I did like the other venue, but the improvements to the swim start were appreciated.

  • Comments: Albert Lea does a nice job for a smaller race. They do need to find a better spot for transition area.

  • Comments: Most of the negatives were weather related - the sloppy transition area was unpleasant. Would have liked to know about the course change sooner.

  • Comments: For a small local race, AL is a nice event. They are on the ball with course marking, volunteers, water stops, and all the other logistics. It's not a big fancy event, but a well run local race. That's why we keep coming back.

  • Comments: The venue change was great after yesterday's fiasco of not being able to find it. Much better transition spot and swim spot. It's bloody cold, but I keep coming back. They said that the weather was the best yet in 5 years, even if it was a bit cold. It was great to see so many TriRochester people there this year too. Oh, forgot to mention, I got first place Athena again this year. Reigning champ second year in a row. Yes, I was the only one again. I actually forgot that I registered Athena until they called my name. Also won a jug of Hammer gel, apple cinnamon. Yum!

  • Comments: This race was very well done. There were a lot of volunteers and staff. The roads and trail were great. The water was too cold but the lake seemed very nice. I'm not sure if I would do this race again. Everything was great except for the cold water. I need to train more over the next weeks and get ready for the next one.

  • Comments: I like the courses at this race and that it's so close. The weather is a unknown, but in all it was OK. I'll probably do it again next year.

  • Comments: Heavy wind and cold make it tough to fully enjoy a race. Other than about a 2 mile stretch of road the course was really good. Lots of friendly volunteers and a very pretty run.

  • Comments: Race did actually start 20 minutes late, but considering the torential downpour and thunderstorm that rolled through between 7 and 8am I think they did a great job getting the race off promptly.

  • Comments: This race was very organized. The course was great. Volunteers were wonderful. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up. I wasn't really in the "go wicked fast" mood, but I wasn't lazy either. It was nice to be able to just enjoy myself. Maybe next year I'll come back and give Lynette a run for her money!
