  • Comments: It was very fun! I had a blast! I'm glad I was in a late starting wave because the boat that they used as the turn buoy was blown off position about 100 yards. All the swimmers sighting the boat swam Fun to watch but glad it wasn't my wave out there. I think there was about 100 no shows because of the weather. I did see 375 participants listed on the results sheets.

  • Comments: An all-around great race. Hard to say anything but good things about Warsaw & the Optimists. One of the better run races in the state. However, I am not sure this venue can support too many more racers. I'll be back next year & on the podium for clydes.

  • Comments: Can't beat this race for the close proximity to my house (4 miles) and the post-race food is second to none. They've done weird things during awards in the last couple years. Last year they awarded only 2 places in some women's AGs but 3 in all the men's (not cool in my book and they heard strong feedback on that). This year, the overall winners were also winners in their AG so they got two of the same plaques. That was just plain strange. I'll continue to do this race because it's so fun to see all the people I know.

  • Comments: Sean paced and pushed me the last mile, it was hell. He told me I once told him I wished I had run with Dad and he was fulfilling that wish, I don't remember ever saying that, I thought I was going to puke all over his shoes...

  • Comments: The race organizers do a wonderful job overall. If I had to point to one thing I would say they need to get the awards correct. It seems every year there is some kind of a problem with the awards. This year I was given 3rd overall before a correction needed to be made. I think something along these lines happens each year. Either way, this is a very well done race and likely why it draws so many people.. Race Results: http://www.onlineraceresults.com/race/view_race.php?race_id=33214&s...

  • Comments: Nice park, nice people, nice course. I will be back next year. I appreciated the security. They took their job seriously and I did not have to worry leaving stuff at the transition area.

  • Comments: I loved the time I got to spend with my racing family. I love seeing the people I have met over the past couple of years and enjoy meeting and competing with these athletes every time. If it weren't for many of these people it wouldn't be fun. Results: http://onlineraceresults.com/race/view_race.php?race_id=25804&relis...

  • Comments: The weather this year was perfect for a PR. I shaved just under 4 minutes off my best time which was two years ago. This is a hometown race that I'll do until I take a top podium spot. I'm serious although it's a silly goal, I want to win my AG in this race. Next year will be my last in the 50-54 so I'm looking at 2014 as my year. :) Great race, great friends, great food...what more could you ask for?

  • Comments: Overall, the race itself was run excellent and on-time. The post-race awards ceremony was a little rough this year. I took 1:40 off my time from last year, and was just hoping to take off 45 seconds and be under 1:10. I was really nervous about my bike and run legs (no pun intended), but in the end, I am extremely happy with my race performance. Very few/minor mistakes made during this race that only cost me mere seconds. I'm really hoping to focus on some speed work for the bike and run to see how much I can really push myself in a couple months at Syracuse.

  • Comments: I like the way they run the awards ceremony. They start with the oldest groups and work their way down to the youngest. Oldest triathlete there today was 87. That's freekin' awesome!

  • Comments: Overall a great race. Wasn't happy with bike and run pace when initial results were posted, but now that I figured out they calculated the bike pace incorrectly and it appears the run is longer, I am much happier with my results. I'm still in shock that I pulled out a 20th overall and only 6th in my age group. I had a tough age group, but as they say, "to be the best, you have to beat the best".

  • Comments: I liked the way they did prizes/awards this year. Years past it was based on AG size, now its just top 4 in AG and also to those with the fastest swim, bike or run. Another good year for the race.

  • Comments: I really liked the course and race management. Very well organized, great food and with so many people had a big race feel about it. The course is set up for speed and does have some challenges. I did have the course at 13.8 on the bike and 3.63 on the garmin for the run. I will be back to race to better my time avenge my performance today. The positive I did qualify for nationals. I enjoyed talking with Brenda and Dirk they rocked the course and look forward to seeing them at Muncie.

  • Comments: I think the run course might be longer than posted. My Garmin puts it at 3.66 but I know this isn't exact. I would think it would be closer than .16 on a narrow course. My watch put my run pace at 6:48 and the official time makes it 7:02. I think the watch is closer and my speed a little better. After running a HM at a 7:08 pace, I think my watch is closer than the race distance and pacing results.

  • Comments: Always a good race to do, the events "on time" I had to say yes but the race was weather delayed 45 min, not the RD's fault. Car traffic on the course was hell this year, a moving truck and others were obstacles. Need better traffic management, only gripe. This was my first tri 5 years ago, and 5 seasons and 5 races later, its always good to come back home for this one.

  • Comments: Nice race, will do it again next year. Only fault is that they didn't have the run mile markers, which I always like for pacing.
