Subject: RE: PSA - Lake Lanier almost sold out (already)I did the Navigator last year. The swim is about the same distance as what you'd find at a Lanier Tri. No beach, so in water start. The bike is rolling, but i wouldn't call it hilly. It's a loop on small back roads, mostly outside the park. The run is inside the park and pretty hilly. The first 2 miles are trail, last mile is road. The first mile on the trail feels like it is straight up the mountain. I struggled to maintain forward momentum going up the rutted mountain trail. It was a nice little tri. Small crowd, very clubby feel. And just so this doesn't feel like a complete hijack - I got shut out of LL Tri last year too so I registered way early this year. I don't like the day before rule either (irongirl made me do it too ), but at least it's a Sat so it's not impossible. Edited by cindi 2009-08-20 2:52 PM
