Good morning and Happy Halloween!

4:15am:  45 minute walk on treadmill then stretching.  A weekend of crappy eating caught up to me...my stomach is in all sorts of distress and running was not an option.  I'm going to get through the treats today and get my diet back in order tomorrow so I feel normal again!  Well, normal for me!

Anybody dressing up today?  How about your kids?  Me, I'm going as a Glutton for Punishment, otherwise known as a middle school teacher.  My 7 year old daughter is Darth Vader (dad is so proud) and my 12 year old daughter is Venus.

Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Good morning! I'm sorry you are feeling out of sorts, Kim.

I am wearing a T-shirt that says "Trick or Treat," but in the dark glows "Smell my Feet." My 11 year old is going to be John Darling from Peter Pan and my 4 year old is a skeleton. He's actually been wearing his costume since Saturday morning -- he agreed to take it off while he's sleeping.

I hope everyone has a great day today. I hope to get a 4 mile run in this afternoon.

Swim this morning; spin this afternoon.

Going to work today dressed as Professor Snape.

Happy Halloween! Our school did its festivities Friday as we thought it was better timing, and most of our students don't know any better anyway (not many Americans). Went as a Hawaiian since my Hawaiian student said she wouldn't unless I did. Mumu, lei, flipflops, attempt to simulate my infamous "surfer girl" hair--swim in ocean, then stick head out of moving vehicle--with pool and hair dryer.  This AM my American kids reminded me it was "real" Halloween so we told scary stories in Morning Meeting--somehow the kids convinced themselves the bathroom on our floor is haunted!

Training-wise, just 2200m of swimming, after teaching/coaching all day. I actually helped a few kids improve their strokes--very exciting as I'm a newbie coach. One little girl told me, "I just love swimming." "So do I," I said. Of course I had to follow that with a very enthusiastic leap into the pool as soon as they got out!  It has been extremely hot here so enthusiasm for the pool is high lately!

I bet you are an awesome teacher and coach.

I managed to make it up and down the stairs a few times today. Maybe some yoga later if I feel like it.

Maybe luck is on my side. I did a IM over the weekend, and I'm still quite sore. I got a call from my school district when we got home last night saying no school today because of power outages from the weekend storm - another day to rest.

However, I am on shopping and laundry duty - still beats work for a day, though!

Rest day for me.  PR'd a 1/2 mary this weekend!!  Totally rad but I'm paying for it (it was worth the pain though).  Mellow week for me as I have a Sprint Tri this weekend.  I'll swim tomorrow and Thurs and go on a mellow run on Wed.

Old kids still want to get candy tonight so I'll walk around with them.  I have this honking huge frow wig that I may wear, but it's very uncomfortable.

Best costume ever for my son was three years ago, he was born with one arm:

That is hilarious, and really, really sick. The look on his face is priceless, too.

Congrats on your HM!

Recovering from the Marine Corps Marathon in Sunday. Just got done walking around the new Air and Space museum in Virginia and about to drive home to Philly. Major blister on my left foot but I had a great race. Will post a LBRR later but the short story is I needed 3:30 to BQ and ran 3:24:57. Should do it!

Some speed work this morning and a solid brick this afternoon. Feel great and loving a day of nice weather, now to go fix my truck before it starts snowing on me.
