Sensei  Sin City |  Subject: South Park: LA/Livestrong/UCI spoof.Anyone see the latest SP poking fun of the whole situation? It wasn't an overly funny episode. Not becuase I found it offensive or took it personally in any way, but just not funny. Amusing, but not LOL funny. Anyway, I like the approach. They were basically poking fun at everything- the entire situation. LA, Livestrong, the wristbands, the people wearing the wristbands, USADA/UCI, Nike. The whole Dr. Zuess spin was good...

Watched it three times and was still catching little things Absolutely. Just about every line is referencing something (or maybe I'm stretching to make it fit). Except for the UCI and his wife exchanges. Those were just funny. "can you change the channel?" "do you want me to change the channel or make an entirely new network just for you..." "no, just changing the channel is fine" (one of the writers must of referenced their marriage)... haha. |
