Anyone see Naked Vegas last night?  So new "reality" show about the body painting industry.  Calling it "reality" is an absolute joke though.  Semi-nonscripted would be a better name for it.  We knew half the people in there and none of them are why they were portraying and half the back storys/facts were manufactured and fake.

i'm far beyond caring about my public image, especially on the internets.  :-P

I saw part of it, but figured it was like most "reality" shows in that there really isn't a whole lot of unscripted dialogue that goes on - though maybe it is, but fairly constrained dialogue?  Or directed dialogue.. as in trying to get the reactions the director is looking for?  Either way, we turned it off about 1/2 way through and went out for a delicious sushi dinner with a friend that happened to be in town.   

Hm. I'm totally content not having cable... though I did watch Ancient Aliens on Hulu. It was entertaining. I love when science entertains ideas that seem outlandish.

Frosh year in college my roomie and I put a pumpkin in our window.

We pushed it out the window (four-story drop) before leaving for Thanksgiving break. It was spectacular.

I like watching the faces in the Jack O Lanterns slowly deteriorate over time.

What's wrong with it?   If you can't laugh at it, you're taking it waaaay too seriously.

The white chili was a hit - it's been requested to be entered into the December chili cook off! My boss's boss made a seafood gumbo that I want more of - I am impressed that the guys in my group can cook! 

Any auto insurance appraisers in the house? Really would like to know why it takes more than a week to send a report after the car has been inspected. Effing effers that eff.

did you tell them you whipped it up at the last minute?  and you cheated by not pulling your own chicken?

It's not scripted because there is no "script" to memorize.  BUT, they will tell you to say a few thing or act in a way and you improvise.  If they like something, they will have you repeat it, etc.

There were countless times the wife and I were watching and just saying that's absolutely not true or fabrication.

PS, the wife was on it!  Even had a line or two.  At the beginning.  So she got the full scoop on the cast and no one was who they said they were, nor was the entire premise of the show and many of the other cast members (the wedding party) were hired cast, not actual friends of the "wedding party".  And the Palms has no such rules as they suggested AND you would have known about them up front. It wouldn't be a surprise.  But that ads drama if it seems like it's an emergency they have to suddenly solve.  Notice how in all these shows the ALWAYS solve the "emergency" at the last second?

Funny, but I'm thinking that clip is in the same TV category as the show Kido is referencing
