Subject: Ever run waaay more than planned?Yesterday, I set out to do a 10 mile run. I somehow messed up my calculations, and when I was done realized I had done 14 miles at a 9 minute mile pace. My longest before this was 10 miles. It was an awesome run (no sharts!!! ) and I felt strong throughout, little long in the tooth the last 2 miles, but strong.
So have you ever way overshot your scheduled distance to something alot higher than you have ever done, and for your next run did you back down the milage, or start building from the higher milage?
Aside from my quads being a little sore today, my body feels great, and I am totally jacked by this experience...and to think I was getting anxious about being able to run the 4 miles in a sprint I have coming up in October!!! |
