Comments:

the run started out great, i was well hydrated but that very quickly changed. we walked through every water station, roughly every 2 miles, and i drank a gatorade and wore a water. HOWEVER, this was way different weather than in MI and the humidity was not so good to trixie. (i was soooo dehydrated that it was 9 hours after the race until i peed again.) i started to feel the effects of poor nutrition and poor sleep around mile 10ish. i was stoopid and didn't eat a gel or anything which i paid for. the kick i was planning on having the last 2-3 miles didn't happen:(. it was sooper windy the last 3-4 miles and that was poopy. rick tried to block the wind for me but i didn't work so well, thanks for trying though, rixie. all that being said, it coulda been a whole lot worse. i'll be smarter next time, i promise.
What would you do differently?:

i would eat better the previous day and fuel during the run. the previous day i ran the 5K with wendi's boy on an empty stomach ('cept for a coke and 2 bites of muffin, thanks chri-is) and in some awesome weather that quickly dried me out! lunch was late, which meant dinner was later but a small amount cause i wasn't that hungry, which means i only ate about 1/3 the amount i normally eat in a day, bad trixie:(
Post race
Warm down:

FROZE MY FREAKING ASS OFF! i guess i was sporting some pretty gnarly purple lips. purple is pretty.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lots of stuff. food, drink,

Event comments:

my race wasn't the best but that was my fault, everything else was AWESOME. comet and jeepfleeb were sooper cool to stay out there and cheer everyone in even though it was cold and wet there for a bit. rixie was soooo good to trixie, kept my spirits up even when i felt like i wanted to tear the heads off cute little bunnies. (i was cranky the last few miles) and my favorite part of the whole day was giving away beers to finishers that looked like hell (and a close second was watching rene and max cross the finish line:))

Just remember, it's hard to keep from doing stupid things when you hang around with lunatics like us.  Still, a good race in the conditions.  I'd be happy with that time!

Hey Trixie!

Congrats on a job well done!  I wouldn't be able to adjust to hot weather running in mid winter either.  Hope you're all re-hydrated and well fed!

For once, trixie *didn't* gotta pee?!

Great race considering the conditions.  Definitely a great time too, just couldn't get away from that wind after the race.

Way to save the beer too!
