Maybe next year I'll suck it up and do the double (since I always do Baltimore and it is 2 weeks before).

Everyone raves about the MCM, need to do it one day, especially since it is local.

Good luck to all!

Do any of you DC area folks have recommendations on any runs 10k-1/2 mary during the week of Nov 23-28?  I'll be there visiting my dad and would love to find something to do.  I will be in Arlington VA and without personal transportation.

Thanks!  You can PM me or inspire it or post it here.  I am flexible in the ways that I can receive info.

Easy.  Run the MCM-10K that is sent off shortly after the marathon runners.  Parts of it lie on the same course and the marathon and you get all the support of the nations finest.  It, also, is in Arlington.

I will be doing it next year when a family friend gets back from Iraq.  It will be his first and my 12th.  I originally signed up to do the 2001 MCM (as my 10th marathon), but then September 11th happened and I had to cancel due to uncertainties in air travel etc.

We are then going to do the Goofy at Disney World the following January

Doh!  Stupid crossed eyes.  I missed the November part. Foot in mouth  For those dates I have no suggestion.

I'm in this week-end bought my ticket off someone today.  Anyone running at a 4hr time?  Hurt my knee in September and was aiming for a 3hr, but oh well.  My friend wanted a running buddy and I thought what the heck.  I will be in a black under armour compression shirt with Oakley sunglass's if anyone wants to run a 4hr pace.

Sorry, I sort of hijacked the thread since I saw it and it got me thinking I ought to plan ahead.....ok, back to the MCM talk....good luck to you all and hopefully there will be something in November that I will find...

I'm going to try for 4 hours!  I'll look for you.  I'll have pink sunglasses, a pink visor, and a black UA shirt

I'm running this too!!! However I nowhere near prepared. My last long run was getting ready for IMKY, since then it's been a 15 miler a few weeks ago and I haven't run in 1 and 1/2 weeks. I'll run 2x before the race but it won't be pretty.

I was thinking about joining the 4 hour group but I'll just run on my own so I'm not sucked into a pace that'll have me blow up. PS I'll be wearing a white and Blue Witness Justice shirt with a Black Visor and blue shorts.
