Just curious as to what percent of your weekly miles/hours/etc. happens on Sat or Sun.

I've always been a big believer of working hard during the week to make the quality weekend workouts happen, but I've noticed a lot of trifolks really loading up the weekend and dropping off pretty sharply on weekdays.

I'm in the "don't usually get a lot done during the week" camp.  Except for marathon training.  Then it is spread out fairly evenly.  Normal training, probably 40% or so comes from the weekend volume.  Marathon training, probably around 30% when you throw in rides and swims during the week to help recover.

Probably close to half if not more of the volume happens on Saturday and Sunday because I don't work. I have all day to play. Generally with work, commute, and all the life admin stuff 90 mins a day is about all I have time for during the week. Weekends, I can load up.

Depends on what I'm training for.  Generally, I'd say about 50-55% of my workload is on the weekend.  During IM training, though, that has been radically altered:  Over the peak weeks of my training, it's been about 62-65% on the weekends.

My overall volume is pretty low, only 4-6 hours a week, and most of it is done during the week.  The weekends are a lot of family time/yard work.  When I do get out on Sat or Sun it probably does equal 30-50% of my week day training though.  I know this won't win me any races, but the family trumps everything.

Typically 55-60% during the week and 40-45% on Saturday (long ride) and Sunday (long run).

I workout every day for 1.5-2.5 hours except Sunday, so if you count Friday as the weekend, that's 1/3 of my workouts.  If you only count Saturdays and Sundays, it's 1/6.

Either the long ride, the long run, or a long combination of 2 or 3 of the disciplines usually is done on the weekends.  That's when I have the time, being that I work 40 hours a week and have a family with 3 young sons.

The vast majority of my bike training happens on the weekends.  This will change when I get a new bike bag (to replace the one my dog ate) so that I can ride to work again and still have clean clothes and a lunch.

Because I do virtually all my bike training on the weekends, I usually don't do much swimming or running on weekends -- just an easy run on Saturday, maybe a swim lesson if my instructor can't slot me in during the week.  My tempo runs or speedwork are Tuesday mornings, and my long run is Friday evenings.  I swim at the university's pool, so that's pretty much only on weekdays.

I have three kids, so the weekend is family time.  Weekend workouts are short and usually before everyone else gets up.  My long runs are usually Mondays before work and long rides are Fridays before work.  It is a challenge to fit in all my training, but that's the way it is for me.

I would say 30%.  But I have a job with flexible hours and i'm single with no kids so I can get a lot done during the week too

I'm a 24 y/o single guy - the only training I do on the weekends is 12oz arm curls... 40oz arm curls if i'm feeling strong.

Probably around 20%. I try to train every day after work and take one day off on the weekends.

x3.  Weekend = family commitments for me.  Any training I get in on weekends usually is arranged in advance or "bonus" stuff I did not plan for.  Might be able to get some extra little runs in with my daughter in the jogger, but she is getting to be too big for that.  Hopefully my son will get the hang of a 2 wheel bike soon and I'll be able to run along with him while he rides...until he gets too fast!  ;-)

Exact reason why I don't worry about my age group.

there are times of my year when i don't really have weekends ... but during the times of the year when i have a relatively normal schedule, my long bikes and long runs are done on the weekends.

i bike commute about 6 months out of the year (depending on which hospital i'm working at) and so i get in upwards of 13mi/day just riding the minivan in my bike collection... so i go for my endurance rides on the weekends.  i swim during the week and do my shorter, more intense runs during the week.

Probably about half.  And I am very consistent at this

Long bikes for sure.  If I'm training for a longer run, I always do the long runs on a weekend day.

Often I do a s, b, and r on a Saturday.

Although lately I've moved some things to Friday and take then a weekend day off.  I guess at some point I stopped have Friday night plans. Lame.

I do most of my stuff during the week. The weekend depends a lot on my family's schedule and can be hit or miss. I do 7-8 hours during the week and anywhere from 2-6 on the weekend.

30-40%

Depends on how long my rides are on Saturday and Sunday morning.

I almost never do a workout on the weekend. An occasional ride, but other than that, nothing. I do the bulk of my workouts during the week so my weekends are free.

Deceptive question for me.  My long rides are on the weekends, so time wise it looks like almost half my training is on the weekends, but my long runs are thursdays, and most of my swims are weekdays.....

seems to be working   not much choice!
