Pool Pace Booty

Not sure about the speed changes, but i've been known to increase my rotation at certain phases in  my workout...

I am fairly new to swimming.  Please teach me the shark fin drill.

It's good to be able to breathe out of either side.

It is almost impossible for me to go slower than I already am.  I have no issues with ...... ummmm ...... observing ....... other swimmer's form and technique.

Just practice kicking on your side......about 500 yds or so :-)

This is a thread I can relate to. 

The lap tank is quite deep where I train, and when they rope some lanes off for a fun swim I often see boneheads from the fun swim cruising in the deep water right underneath all the lap booty just looking up. Their gonna ruin it for everybody!

Of course the serious triathlete would never revert to such an obvious tactic!!

If there was EVER an argument for flip turns, this is it. If you get good enough, you can pause for as long as you like at the wall

I'm not going to Bryans pool for any easy swims.

There's one at every pool. And they are in great shape for old broads!

there are two at mine, one gets in and swims easily 2 miles.

the other, she is the floater, always wonder is she is still alive (no joke takes a good 5-6 min to get down the pool one way).

we chicas enjoy some good pace booty in a drag suit too.  jammers just don't cut it.

I can only dream of pace booty at my pool.  All it has is old ladies rehabing and if you take their lane when they are walking they will kick you a^^.  I just close my eyes and sight every 6th stroke!

I used to swim in a drag suit.  But, my mascara kept running, the blonde wig wouldn't stay on under the cap, my heels fell off, and I couldn't maintain my "tuck"

Not to hijack, but... are you swimming at my pool?

There's a gal that is there during master's classes in the morning (5:30am or so).  She's not taking part in the drills, but she goes up and down lane 1 in full mask and snorkel.  She never lifts her head.  Ever.  I've been resting after a drill and hear coughing or some other sound.  It's her, through the snorkel.  Weird.  And YES, honestly 5-6 minutes to go 25m!

Still, I gotta give her credit.  She's there.  That's step 1.
