I thought they might get some bad mojo from dog rescue organizations, debate-ably using humor to bag on mixed breeds.. As momma to a mixed breed mutt, I thought the commercial was... weird. What were they selling again?

Yes but the way the combo turned out (huge head, small body) is so ridiculous it can't really be classified as a "mixed breed". And they had Sarah McLuaghlin on their side so that has to count for something.

The dog eating the guitar was my favorite part.

Oh, and they were selling Audi's. The German car makers were really on the ball this year between this and the VW angel wings.

Odd bad year for Bud Light. They usually have decent commercials, but that whole thing they did this year was just weird and stupid IMO.

Oh that was really her? I assumed it was a fake/mocking of her, like Saturday Night Live style. Weird.

My mixed mutt is, according to the humane society, dachshund and german shepherd. Just as laughable, but mine is real
(I think she is ACTUALLY mostly lab with shepherd and chow thrown in. Not much dachshund resemblance whatsoever).

Dang you were right. I went to the Audi FB page to see what the comments were like. Lots of bunched panties over there. Lots on the other side as well. Guess you can't really do much without offending somebody these days.

Maserati. Since when did they need to advertise? Not exactly an impulse buy nor needs to be marketed to the masses.

I must be living in the past. I thought the two best commercials were the Radio Shack one and Seinfeld/Costanza at the diner.

Honestly, I can't remember too many commerials.  I do remember a few of them, but I think I was either getting another beer, going to the bathroom, or looking over my block sheet during most commercial breaks.  I'm pretty sure I did see every play during the game though.

I'll probably go online and watch the commercials tonight.  Pretty sure I'll be offended.

I loved the Radio Shack commercial.  Really clever, fun to see people, etc.

I liked Seinfeld's concept, but I was distracted by how OLD Jerry looked.

I'd have to see it again to be sure, but I thought there was a woman who got wings in there... But then again, we're talking Germans...

My top list is the VW ad, and Radio Shack (for laughter) and Maserati for that "hmm..." factor.

I liked the Tim Tebow ads.

I switched over to Downton Abbey at 9PM since the game stunk and just checked the score occasionally on my phone, so I didn't see all the commercials.

Even though it was right after the SB, I really like the Dale Earnhardt Jr. Mountain Dew Duck Call. If you didn't get to see it go and look it up most will laugh.

Ok...that Diet Dew / Dale call was pretty funny!

And I went back to watch the VW commercial to see if, as a female engineer, I was offended. There is one scene with many engineers that I wasn't able to see if any of those were women. However, as a woman who has worked in the auto industry (specifically auto makers) there AREN't very many women engineers! (At least when I co-oped at Toyota in college.)

BUT...when I googled it, I got to this page:

http://www.youtube.com/user/Volkswagen

And you can change the heads of the "people" and with the shark option - THE SHARK CAT ON THE ROOMBA is in one of the scenes!!!!!! Screw the potentially sexism, that is FUNNY!!!!
