Subject: RE: To shave or Not to Shave?I started to shave my legs for two reasons 1) I was doing pottery and dried clay in my leg hairs was painful to remove 2) I was MT Biking and getting WAY too many ticks on my legs. Once I started shaving, no ticks - they dont have anything to grab onto. I shaved my chest as a goof at first a couple years ago, but then I realized how much cooler (ie less hot) I was. I get warm very quickly and sweat a lot, and not having chest hair makes me feel like the temp is 5 degrees less. The reason we have hair is to keep us warm, so not having hair would then make us cooler right? Ask your wife this - Why does she shave? The most common answer is it looks better, so why wouldnt it look better on you too. I mean really, have you ever heard a women say, "WOW look at those sexy hairy legs - I bet you could knit a sweater with all that hair, thats so hot" Look at professional basketball players, most of them shave down now too. Once you start, you'll notice how many men are doing it, swimmers, actors, everyone on the Tour de France etc. But still be prepared to take some ribbing from time to time. just laugh with them and say "yeah, but dont my legs look good"
