Did a 45 min run, followed by an 1hr bike. I will hit the beach later this afternoon with the family, say goodbye to them for 45min and then swim like there is no tomorrow.

Nothing like 67 degree temps to get you to jump out of bed for a run. Did 5K at race pace. Now off for a massage :-)

I always blame the heat! Enjoy taper week and don't worry too much about that 10k. It was the heat!

Got out there at 7 AM to ride before the threat of thunderstorms and blazing heat. All I had to contend with was the fish bowl like humidity. 25 mile ride, followed by a 1500 yd swim. A cyclist passed me quickly on my ride today. He said, "Good morning!" and I wanted to say, "I'm just on a recovery ride!" in the way that Americans claim to be Canadians when traveling overseas. Lies. (by the way, I'm a bonafide Canadian.)

Daniel's "Patriotic Nap" sounds good so I'll do that after laundry. :P Happy Independence Day to my American friends!

28min/3.5mile (was supposed to be a full 30min) mild interval run in a combo Z2/Z4 at around 9am.  Going to hang Old Glory now.  Enjoy the 4th!

I got tricked into doing a local fun run that was 5 miles long. Did it at my fastest pace ever 33:00 flat. This was also my first run since Ironman last week haha.

Took advantage of low traffic and rode the bike to work. 11.3 miles, will do it again later. I'll also hit the pool if the corporate database updates in time for me to get in a swim before 5 PM, but it isn't looking good.

If the pool doesn't happen, I'll mow the lawn and then get in a run. At 85 degrees, this is the coolest St. Louis 4th of July in quite some time.

30 minutes of easy spinning on the bike, 30 minute run (3.25 miles), 30 minute swim....all back to back & all but the run was easy effort.

Got up this morning for a 2,300 yard OWS with some tri friends.  Lots of people at the lake swimming this morning.  Pretty cool how many people OWS around here now.

Just got done with yard prep for big 4th party tonight.  I'm going to go for an 8 mile run before folks arrive.  Happy 4th everyone!!
