Subject: RE: I need a 2nd job- any ideas? If your expensive hobbies are important enough to get a second job, why not look at cutting out expenses in your life that are not as important.
Such as cable, eating out a lot, high car payments (i.e. selling it and buying a cheaper car ), clothes budget, gas (ride your bike to work if you don't already ), etc.
It is amazing how much you can save with changing a few things. My wife and I have been trying to budget and cut out things so that we can save more for whatever (college fund, give to charities, new bike, etc ). Most of what we are doing comes from the book Finacial Peace by Dave Ramsey.
Other suggestions have been good. Work for a store that is hobby related. You will get to learn more about the stuff you like, plus you would get discounts.
Ebay/Garage sale. Selling your old equipment on forum such as this or on Ebay can generate quite a bit of money.
Have fun with your hobbies, but don't work too much where you can't do them.
