I did my first-ever brick today. It was more like a mini-brick, biked 16 miles, ran 1.7. Then biked another 4 home. I had to get up at 5:30 to get it in before a big Father's Day race in Central Park. Can't wait to try a longer one!

Got out at 5am to hit some hills. 2 1/2 hour ride. Came back to eat breakfast with the kids and spend the rest of the day with them.

(Had to start early, it's gonna be 112+ in Phoenix today)

1-1/2 hours house vacuuming.

Looking at a BRICK, or bike, or run later if weather holds up.  Then some pitching baseball to my kids.

Happy Father's Day!

1:50 bike early this morning. 10 mins Run, sprint intervals at lunch time. Legs were like jelly from the bike so 10mins was all I could manage.

Pizza and beer tonight!

5:30 AM and a 7 mile run at 7:20 pace.  My wife met me when I finished and we exchanged parenting duties so she could get a 15 mile ride in today.  Oh yeah, my three year old greeted his sweaty mess of a Dad with an enthusiastic "happy Father's Day!" and a card.

45 miles on the road bike.  When I got back, my kids presented me with cards that they'd made. My youngest son's card read "Happy Farters Day." That's a keeper.

My dad is about 2000 miles away and my daughter about 800 miles away, so no big plans.

Got in 4 hours on the bike followed by 30 min. transition run.

2500 yd swim followed by a 40 mile bike - both my longest.

Celebrated Father's Day yesterday with my 20 yo son running the Xterra 10k trail run. He beat me by 1:54, and he hasn't run in MONTHS.

That sounds amazing. Sigh. I miss Baltimore. (That might be the only time I've ever said that.)

I raced the Long Island Gold Coast Triathlon (a Sprint), then had breakfast/brunch at a mediocre diner that is my father in law's current favorite place to eat in the entire universe.

My training today was going great, 1.20 hrs easy run with a friend and then i got home got my bike and was riding along Oceanside, Ca until a idiot driver almost drove into me, i was forced to go to my right and bamn, there it was a parked truck. I hit my right on the bumper, scrapped my left left and elbow, twisted my left ankle and Thank God for Helmets i could hear my helmet scrapping the ground. At least i got 1hr of riding. Hey i gotta look at the positive side of it, i'm alive . It sucks because i have San Diego Int'l coming up in two weeks.

If someone tells me how to post pics , please let me know, so i can post few pics i got of my scrapes.
