So I'm going down to volunteer at IMFL in November.  It's the day after Halloween (and I LOVE Halloween).  Perfect opportunity for a costume day.  Anyone have any ideas of things they've seen, or would like to see?  So far my only idea is this:  dress up in my bikini and high heels and hold a big sign over my head that says "Winners are hot!"  with "HTFU!" on the reverse.  I know, it's not a costume.  But it's funny, right?

Sounds like fun to me.  I'll be looking for you!

Cheer leader is also good (See KSH).   It will probably be quite cool in the morning (Why am I so darn practical?) so you may want something that has a cover up - maybe a cape? over bikni catwoman?

IMagination runs wild.   Let us know what you decide so we can find you.

I don't know about the other BTers running the thing, but for me I'm sure any encouragement will help a bunch.

Whoever tells you not to do the bikini and high heals should be shot!  It will not only motivate the men, but should give the women a chuckle too.  OTOH, a cheerleader outfit is awesome too.  I guess you can tell I am a man....

You could throw in a "Heroes" reference and hold up a sign that says "Save the Cheerleader."

There was a whole section right around mile 1 or so with a bunch of young ladies dressed quite provacatively ....... too bad about that whole suffering in the race thing as you got to see them 4 times ........

I don't really think that any of us can make a truly informed decision unless we see the bikini costume first. Why don't you have someone take pictures and post them here. In fact, post the one you thought of and also the cheerleader costume, we'll let you know which one is best. We wouldn't want any of our fellow BT'ers going to IMFL looking silly or anything.Smile

Instead of "Winners are hot", go out on a bike course with a sign of "Drafting gets you spanked."

If you do, pics area must.

This is hilarious!  That would be an awesome sign!!!!  I think your costume has been more than validated by the BT men!  Go for it girl!

That would be awesome!  Will they let me on the course? If not, maybe I can run with one of those pace signs but instead of a time, it just says "Pace Booty". lol.

Yea, I bought my cheerleader outfit just to cheer at IMAZ. It was fun, but I didn't have most of the outfit on all day. It was a polyester death suit in the heat!

So costumes are fun, but make sure you wear something you are comfortable wearing all day. I'm sure the high heels will go over very nicely!

Here is what my outfit degraded into.

Sweet! For the whole two minute penality? And you get three before you're DQed right?

Who's Madison? And why is he so lucky? Or is it a "she"...

Oh, and I plan to do the run wearing a big birthday cake hat.

Somehow, I see the referees having to work overtime to enforce the no drafting rules if she puts up this sign.
