Gooooooooooooood Morning, BT!!!!!

It's about 4:30 here in Louisville and you can already hear things moving around the hotel. I just wanted to give a heads up that I'll be doing a little bit of photoblogging on my phone to my husband's blog (he's OutOfShapeGuy on here) during the day, so if you'd like you can check out some pictures as I take 'em. If I spot any BTers, I'll try and snap a picture of 'em, too!

www.outofshapeguy.com

Otherwise, I'll be the chick out in the Team IronMike t-shirt with the sign that says HEY BT, HTFU! Though I'll probably wait and bust it out late in the bike or on the run.

But it's going to be a beautiful (but hot) day. I'll post back with updates whenever we run back to the hotel room.

IT'S RACE TIME!

It's payday!  Just need to go about 140.6 miles to pick up our checks!

Have a great day BTers.  Remember to soak up the day and have fun.

Git 'er done, folks.   It's a 140.6 kinda day.   Best of luck and race safely, everyone....

Couple logistics items....first, looks like a time-trial start again, so don't be too nervous if your athlete isn't under the wire for a cutoff....they could be 45 minutes after the mass-start cutoff and still make it, because it'll take 45 minutes to launch all the AG'ers TT-style.

OOO, next thing...if you look at the ironmanlive athlete tracker, you'll see no less than 4 bike splits and 7 run splits for each athlete. I'll do my best to keep up with all that for the race-watching thread, but will likely only post the total SW/T1/B/T2/R totals.

Lastly, there doesn't appear to be a video feed...I've searched all over the sites, and can't find the link. If anyone can see the video feed, post the link in this thread, please....

I know they don't wear the myathlete.biz tracker in the water...but thought I'd try out the tracking to see whether it's up and running.

When you log onto the site as MA2, you get 'Justin Kingery' and it shows you the whole map, plus the athlete's icon...so far, so good.

But...I Tried to click on Bob Stocks, and the site returns half a map (the right hand side), google style, and half a blank screen (the left half). That's cool, I suppose, if the course only goes east....

Anyone else get the same thing?

Weather: 69 degrees at race start, with a projected high of 93 - slightly warmer than planned. However, the humidity is just 40%, lower than last year, and the wind is calm now, and only expected to top out a 9mph max later in the day. Looks like there will be a premium on staying cool and finding shade.

Water temp: Official water temperature is 84 degrees. Oh my.

Myathlete.biz claims Bob is at 22MPH. Don't know how accurate that is, but that's smoov.
