Need to wash them, do you guys hand wash or delicate cycle? Do you use detergent (maybe just a little)?

I defer to my wife--who is both a fellow triathlete AND the household laundry guru:  Delicate cycle, hang to dry.

I would not suggest the washing machine.  Wash it in the bathtub with either delicate care detergent or baby shampoo.

washing machine detergent with everything else.  I put it in the dryer too.  I like living on the edge.   In all honesty I don't think it hurts any of my stuff at all

Washing machine, by itself or with other tri gear (running shorts, sports bras, all that same type material - NOT chlorinated swim suits, those go in a separate load) with a little bit of detergent no softener.  Hang to dry.

Why bother to wash any workout gear?  It'll just get stinky the next time you use it.

Throw it in the washing machine with whatever else is in there and whatever cycle I always put everything in the wash for...

But then I do hang dry....as I do all of my workout clothes.

After the race I take a shower at the beach...  (We'll call that Cycle 1)

When I get home, I wear my tri-suit into the shower... (We'll call that Cycle 2)

I take my tri-suit off in the shower... and let hang-dry...

Seems easy enough...

My washing machines delicate cycles is about as easy on clothes as a rabbit is on a carrot soooo

Hand wash in cold/warm water in the sink and hang dry. Gets the sweat, salt and dirt out so I can wear it again.

If I just have a few things to wash, I hand wash in the sink in cold water.  If I have enough for a small (or larger) load, I put it in the machine on gentle/cold.  I do use Win Detergent for all my workout clothes.

Same here... as someone else said, I only wash it with similar workout gear. No jeans, heavy materials, flight suits.

I'm with "slobgob."  I wash my tri suits/shorts and swimsuits in the shower, with shampoo or body wash.  Hang to dry.  My dryer has only one setting: incinerate.  I've found that the less I machine wash and dry my more expensive suits, the longer they last.  Only problem might be if you get some sort of stubborn, nasty "funk" which requires stronger chemicals or greater heat to get out.  Hasn't been a problem so far . . .

I do all my technical clothes together with the "special" detergant. then hang to dry.  At first I didn't think the extra money for the fancy technical detergant was going to be worth it but it takes the funk out. Especially out of the under armor stuff, which didn't seem to be so fresh usualy.

I wash all of our workout/tri gear in the wash.  We have 2 swimmers, 1 IM and 1 sometime exerciser in our house so there is always laundry to do.  I wash it all in the wash on cold with about a 1/4 cup (if that) powder detergent and 1/8 oxyclean.  No fabric softener and everything gets hung up to dry.

Throw them in the wash with the darks.  Wash normally.  Throw them in the dryer.  Dry normally.

They are clothes ......... just wash 'em.

Mine last years doing it this way.  It's not rocket surgery .....

Wash just like anything else but skip the fabric softener and dry on low or hang dry.
