Pro 4672 Nutmeg State | Subject: Back-up IM? I am currently signed up to race IMAZ on November 22, 2009. Lucky for me, I'm an attorney and it looks like I will now be starting trial in Maine on November 17, which makes IMAZ an impossibility. So, I'm looking for a back-up "A" race that I can still get into in late October / early November. I've already looked at Great Floridian (too early and too far) and B2B (looks like a decent possiblity). Any ideas? Edited by kaburns1214 2009-08-24 2:53 PM |

He said Silverman! That is more of a motivator than IMAZ due to a much more challenging course. http://www.silvermannv.com Watch this trailer.... http://www.vimeo.com/2310667 (I am in orange walking up in the back ground 10 seconds into the trailer) Chris MacCormack and Dave Scott will be there. You get the best Good bag (or should I say back pack) in triathlon too. |

The Atomicman is a HIM in Knoxville, TN that I think is the last week in Sept. Or you could do the Disney marathon again....but it may already be sold out. ~Mike |

I have this vague memory of you saying "never again" after the last year's Disney Marathon. Or did I just imagine that?!

OK, for the sake of those who might not know, Goofy is doing the 1/2 mary on Saturday AND doing the full mary on Sunday! Goofy is an appropiate medal for that?! :-) You are crazy Kelly! And that's why I like you! ~Mike |

Now that gets my vote for the 'funniest comment of the month' on BT! And that is why I like Abbie!

And maybe then she can answer the question.....what the heck is Goofy? I mean some say he is a dog, but if he were a dog wouldn't he walk around on all 4s like Pluto? |

Any idea if it closed out last year (just wondering how much time I have before I need to pull the trigger). It sold out in 14 days last year which was it's first with 500 slots and a entry fee of $250. There's still roughly 185 spots and it hasn't really changed much from recent checks. There may even be 50 charity slots, but that's a guess since they did it for the HIM distance. I'm thinking you may have a few weeks but keep an eye on the list on there site. Hope things workout for you, but B2B should be a good time.

Expert 1706 NoVA | Subject: RE: Back-up IM? Yup rottiedog is correct about last year---but it took a while for the half to fill-up this year and the full still has the 185 or so slots mentioned---the slightly higher price/economy/additional 250 slots have certainly changed the 2 week sell-out from last year!!! And I would also guess that there are 50 community fund slots available if/when the 750 regular spots are gone...as was already said just keep an eye on the B2B/set-up website for number of slots still available and you can make the call! |

Expert 1379 Woodland, California | Subject: RE: Back-up IM? I have to put in another vote for Silverman (Nov 8). The course is beautiful and challenging and it is a very well run race. I did the half last year and will again this year. At some point when I have more time to train, I definitely plan on doing the full. |
