Master 2429 Falls Church, Virginia | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Okay, I put down goals for swim, bike, and run. Ambitious for me, but I've been having motivation problems, so I need to be accountable. I'll be traveling the first weekend of March, and away from the computer, but I'll be running while I'm away. |

I'm still trying to make a final push for my Feb goals today... I will work on my March ones tonight! They will probably involve all 3 swim, bike, run of some sort just to keep me moving. Just not sure about how much... |

For some odd reason that I can't remember (almost 20 years later), I took my driving test in North Tonawanda! And Slingerlands isn't too far away from where I work. But I actually live on the "other side" of the Hudson, the east side. Very cool! |

Extreme Veteran 668 Melbourne | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Hey team, Joined the East team as I'm from the East Coast of Oz and also my family is from New York State as well (around Geneva) so seemed a logical step for me. Have put in my goals, they may seem a bit low compared to my recent training, however sometime this week will be welcoming a new addition into our house so my challenge is to continue training. Have just finished 13 weeks without missing a training session, have taken one week off and going on an easier program for the next 3 months, so just need to get back into it with broken sleep nights and more responsibilities again. Let's go East! |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Hello East! I've been a Chicagoan most of my life, so I guess I'm technically a midWESTerner, but we're still east of the Mississippi. . . I've also lived in Asia = FAR east, Cape Canaveral, Boston, and Buffalo (ok, Amherst since looks like some of you know where that is). And also I live right by Lake Michigan, which is the East edge of the Chicago. I still have to think about what my March goals will be. It'll definitely involve a lot of running & biking... Probably strength & yoga as well. |

Master 1690 Metro NY Area | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Hi Easties! I live in New York. I am heading out west to Arizona later this week but I'll be working for the east team. I will be doing my first tri of the year next week and get some nice outdoor rides in. My bike is already on it's way there. I've been going through my drawers and gear looking for warm weather gear that I haven't seen since last fall. Have a good March everyone, spring is almost here! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Well, it's about time I posted HERE, on my OWN team thread.... (Um, rather than on the OTHER team thread where I've been stirring up trouble. Like always.... But I digress.) Let's see, do I need to introduce myself? OK.... I am a challengoholic. (Starting with the obvious things first. LOL) My name is Dee. I live in the East. (Which is why I'm on this team.) We got NO snow in the last storm. (And I'm OK with that. I'd be more upset if summer passed me by.) My goals this month are.... well, I'm not sure yet. So I'd better go figure that out, huh? I was going to mention my fantabulous taser collection. But you know what they say -- a picture is worth a thousand words. So, for anyone who plans on slacking off this month, feel free to pick your favorite color now: |

Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Hi East team! I'm Erica, I live in Connecticut so, yup, East for me. I haven't figured out my challenge goals yet but after last month, they will include a healthy family. I'm probably gonna go with biking and swimming and a little running thrown in for good measure. |

I need to get more biking in and I have my first HM I have to gear up for. I threw in one swim just to get my large butt into the water. |

Kids have off of school so they are comming with me so not sure how "long" it will be. Really going to try to stick to my training plan. I am training for my first 1/2 IM and I am freaking out already and it isn't until July! Have a great day everyone! |

Extreme Veteran 494 Morris County, NJ | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Hello--I would love to join the Easterners! This will be my first challenge, and with my first HIM looming this summer, I really need the motivation. So far, I have been unable to access the google spreadsheet, but I'll keep trying to get my goals posted. I plan to be pretty aggressive with my goal-setting, so I'll be living in fear of a taser shot all month! Thanks, Jackie |

Master 2429 Falls Church, Virginia | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Okay, I think I forgot my intro, so: I'm Laura, and I'm from the East. I've lived my entire life in Northern Virginia, except for about three months when I tried to go to school in Columbia SC and then I realized I hated college. I work with dogs, I love sweets, and sometimes I get cranky. Then I eat sweets and pet my dog and I feel better. My goals are s/b/r and I've just finished 800 yards in the pool. I haven't been in the pool for quite some time, so it took some nerve getting back in there. I am a pokey puppy in the water, but I like it. BTW, for anyone with short hair, the Suave Kids 3-in-1 product is pretty nice. Although I still smell like an odd combination of chlorine and wacky watermelon. |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: EAST - March Winds Challenge Happy First of March, team! I finally decided on some goals and put them on the spreadsheet. I'm running a lot of mileage since I have my first marathon coming up next month (so soon? How did that happen?!) and I'm also trying to build up my bike base for my half iron in July. I'll balance those out with some yoga & strength training goals, more for peace of mind than anything else, since those were preferred exercises of choice in my pre-tri life I'm starting off my month right with an easy run tonight (had some cramping/tightness issues yesterday so I'll take it slow today) followed a strength session w/my lifting buddy. |

I think I have the citrusy orange version of the same shampoo. It does work well, but it's kind of a strange smell sometimes. |
