Subject: RE: Gel Flask?jmk-brooklyn - 2011-06-24 9:59 AM I bought a FuelBelt flask that mounts on my top tube. I had planned to use it in a century a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, the temperature was in the low 50’s and the gels became too viscous to get out of the flask. I ended up about sucking my eyeballs out of my head trying to get to the gel inside. I’ve gone back to using packets ever since. When it's cold, put it inside a piece of clothing. Jersey pocket works just fine for me. Put it in upside down. Then just squeeze. (Despite their marketing, I use Hammer gels.) I've never had a problem down to 30 degrees. |
