Tom Demerly, the owner, takes a picture of him and his bike in the parking lot. Take a look at this bike setup. They said it's 27.2 cm from his seat to the handlebars. That's 24.6 MPH for 112 miles, 1.5 mph faster than ANYONE ELSE in the race. He beat the next closest bike split by over 17 minutes. Of course, it also explains why he blew up on the run and ended up as a DNF. Still, the guy has a sick engine on the bike. What's this guy do with his doogin when he's riding like that?!?! Mine gets smashed up when I ride aero and I'm not even close to that low. He doesn't have a split in the middle of his seat, so it doesn't go in there. The front of the seat isn't particularly low, so that doesn't explain it. He's a bit forward on the seat so that seems like it would smash the boys if the doogin is out of the way. The guy is practically laying on his bicycle seat! Is he just numb the whole time or what? I'd love to be able to get that aero, but I have priorities. No idea how he does that. |
