When I was in grad school we had one given at a christmas gift swap (I think it was about 18 inches long) and it kept getting passed around for months - I would leave it in someone's mailbox, they would drop it on someone else's doorstep, etc. It eventually ended up in my car - I brought it into class to see who I could unload it on, when this one guy saw it and said "Ooh, beef log! I love those, can I have it?" I think he ate the whole thing for lunch that day - makes me sick just thinking of it. |

I was really hoping to get a pair of diamond earrings for Christmas one year from an old boyfriend. We had dated for a few years I definitely thought I deserved some diamond earrings  I was expecting him to give me a little box. Instead- he brings over this huge box that's wrapped. It was a 10 gallon fish tank with all the fish accessories. Now granted I wanted a fish tank, I was pretty disppointed. I never got the diamond earrings  |

I enjoy when the parents or grandparents get you a present that they think you will really like, only to realize that its one of your OTHER siblings who likes that, not you. whoops I can also think of one christmas, not wanting to end a relationship right before christmas in order to not feel as bad, and that made all the christmas presents he got the worst xmas gifts ever! I guess i do have a heart and thought to myself as i was opening the gifts that he made sure to tell me he "put alot of thought into" that I should have just gotten it over before a couple hundred dollars ago!
