What was your fun today?

55min in the ocean today, rough enough that both me and my swim piglet partner were going to puke if we didn't exit stage left. Seriously, couldn't even make the last 5min and that's saying a lot for the both of us. We were also getting swept into a direction we didn't want to go.

2:01 hr run in the early evening. Did NOT want to emerge from my nap cocoon with the cats, but the run went and felt great.

SOOO Hot Runner ... you in bed yet? What's your swim brag??? (Did you see my Saturday last post about Metaman?)

A two hour spin followed by a one hour run.  Not quite superstar status, but it's better that I have done in a long time.  Gotta get breakfast first.

Getting ready for a 20 mile run...sure hope it goes better than last week's 18.  Going to warm up my legs so I can stretch out that calf muscle that knotted up on me last Sunday.  Here's to hoping I survive 20! Smile

Yep, just about to go to bed. Blech--no swim brag! It's about biking, which is a first for me. Rode 82.65 km this morning at almost 29 kph, which for me is unbelievable. I was riding with my new training partner and we were talking the whole time (mostly about guys, and what we'd eat after); when we got to 65 km, I looked at the time and it was way under where I expected. Since we ride by time and she had nothing else to do today (there's not much else to do here, actually, but work, shop and eat!) we just decided to go for the time goal, which was 2:45-2:50. By the time we finished our extra loop, we had gone almost a HIM bike ride.

Ooh, I'm gonna die on the run, I thought. But, after the obligatory five minutes of feeling like impending death, I actually felt really good for a 40-minute run, as if the bike ride had never happened. Would have done two hours then and there except that 1. Race not till June. Not good to peak in Feb. 2. It was about 90 degrees by that point. Still feel good--tired, not sore. Even did an easy swim this PM. Don't know what got into me. It's like all of a sudden my body said, "Oh, okay, I get it!" instead of "I don't wanna!" If only this could happen on a race day LOL. Cool

I've got 90 min on the bike scheduled and a 10 min walk/jog. I'm hoping the sun peeks out today for a while so I can ride outside. I'd much rather do that bike time out on gravel roads then on the trainer. As for the walk/jog, that will probably be done on the driveway.

New season low tsb at -46.5 right now, so needless to say I'm dragging... Going out for a lsd ride with some tempo intervals on the swamp rabbit in Greenville for atleast two hours, hopefully more like 3. Then I'm going home and eating a pizza for the superbowl and generally vegging out until Tuesday.

Took my new tri bike out for its inaugural post fit ride.  I was only able to get 15 miles in because the saddle was not nice to me   I should have taken the time to switch it out with the new one I got yesterday.  Live, learn and recover.  Other than that, the bike is awesome!

After yesterday's brutal 10m run and light 20 mile ride, I decided to make today a rest day. I think my body will thank me for it later.

9 miles of running for me this morning. Ran with my sister, so we talked the whole time. It went by pretty quick and I had gas in the tank for a couple of sprints at the end. Followed that with an apple fritter. Yum, deep fried doughy deliciousness.

Now it is off to the shower, then a party at some friends house.

Yaaaay!  Survived my 20 mile run with no problems!  Had a 2 mile climb miles 6-8 that I was super nervous about, figured that's when the calf would knot...nope! It was a great run (as great as 20 can be!)

Now for some Super Bowl snacks and couch time!

No matter how lofty I want to be in my head about race mantras, by the end it's always "Piglet. Burger. Piglet. Burger."

35 minute trainer ride.  Didn't want to get off the bike when my potty-training 2-year-old needed to go potty...I told her to go by herself...so of course she just peed in her pants.  My bad...
