Well a Holiday here today north of the border Family day, mine are all busy with there familys or out of town, so its a free day for me. I think I will take the dogs out for a good walk and then load my stuff in the car and head off to the pool for a couple of hours of swimming.

Didn't get my run in yesterday so I'm doing it today! Wish me luck at noon...going to register for Race to Robie Creek, registration fills in about 9 minutes so it will be a battle of the clicks!

Enjoy the day!

Hoping my schedule allows me to sneak in a lunchtime ride. My group ride was canceled yesterday because of snow and ice. I need some miles.

Got to the pool and did 2500M that's a new distance for me, it was nice not having to worry about getting back to work for a change

So are you from Boise? The last year I did Robie was in 2008. If I still lived there I would probably run it.

Did you get in or gonna have to buy a ticket later?

I swam 2700 yards and now heading to the skating rink to watch my wife teach our daughter how to roller skate. I suck at it so not even attempting to teach her.

5 mile run. It was cold and my muscles were tight the entire time.  It felt slow and it was.

Went to the bike shop to get a basic "fit".  Never had anything like this even when I bought the bike.  Asked the LBS where I bought it used, was very basic.  This guy spent time asking questions, listening to my questions, and then tweeked my bike.  Minor cleat placement change and swapped out a handlebar stem for one 2 cm shorter.  I was reaching way too far.  With those changes was able to raise the saddle about 1".  Definitely felt more comfortable and was looking forward to tomorrow morning ride on the trainer.

Brougth the bike home as was setting it up in the trainer and broke the cheap plastic cam lever on my Cycleops.  Going to take a week to get the new.  Doh!

Sorry for the ramble.

Going to swim - 1000m or so.

Had hoped things would be back to normal today after Tet but they're not. The ATM's are out of money and the store is out of OJ and bottled water (pilfering the latter from coolers at work and gym). The entire country including food distribution shuts down so it takes a while to restock--forgot to stockpile before trip. Managed to sneak in 2400m of swimming between hours of meetings at work and attempts to get money and water.

We were in Seattle over the long weekend so I got to do a couple of laps around Green Lake this afternoon.  It is one of my favorite runs.  Had a great lunch nearby before heading home.

2008 might be the last time I ran it too!  I've run it about 5-6 times.  I don't live in Boise but have good friends that do--one of those friends introduced me to the race.  I was able to get in first try! So now the excitement/dread begins! Ha!

Ran 4 miles in just under 40 minutes. Had a 10K on Saturday in 58:20. Keeping the build on. Another 4 miles planned for Tuesday.
