Subject: One Year, sober

Well I had my last drink on March 28, 2012.  One year down.  I don't really miss it now.  I did in the fall as I enjoy the Sam Adams season beer.  There were some mornings I stood in front the beer selection looking atthe Noble Pils and some of the others, but I kept moving.  Now, it's not even a thought...well a little thought.  Not passing judgement on otheres , but life is better for me without it.

Time to start on year two

Joe

Congratulations!

The hardest year is behind you.  Now you get to move onto the really good years.

Hint for the future:  If you don't even go down the beer aisles, you can't stand in front of them and tempt yourself

Congrats and many happy returns. Enjoy your much better life.

I guess this time of year is a bit of an anniversary to me, as I gave up alcohol for Lent sixteen years ago. Like you, I gave up even thinking about it shortly thereafter.

I'm aware that going alcohol-free is very difficult for many people, so Congratulations on a big accomplishment and a better quality of life.
