Here is our thread to form our team on!  Post your goals here and I'll get the spreadsheet filled out later this week.  Time to slip on that suit and get wet!

I forgot about the holidays, so I've lowered my goal to 35,000 yds. I'll be gone at least a week, so I'll get'em in early!

Game on!  7500 yards.  (I know, I know, I can't help it if I'm a land-based creature).

Put me down for 13,000.  That will top my previous high month by 500 and put me over 100,000 for the year.  Not bad considering I like swimming about as much as morey1.

A VERY FAST land-based creature

I'll go 20,000 yards (figuring 10 swims @2000 per swim).

Okay, I'm convinced. Calculating the number of days I will be able to go to my Masters group in December, I am in for 15,000 yards.

Put me down for 14,000 yards which is 14,000 more than I have swam in the last three months.

Is Ohio Midwest?  Or is it Mideast?

If I am here, then put me down for 11,000 Yards.

Okay... as it was pointed out to me, the only way you get better at swimming is to actually (gasp!) SWIM.  Huh.  Whodda thunk it.

So - I'm in.

Only for 8000m, though.  I'm in physical therapy 2-3x/week probably through the end of the year which eats up a lot of time.  AND - since I haven't swum since, oh, just about my last tri in August, my guess is that these first workouts will be a struggle to even put in 1000m at a time.  (my, my ... I'm already making excuses.... bad Laura ... baaaaad Laura.....)

Go Blizzards!  I'll get it in, I promise.

Are we allowed to be on the same team?

At least you know you'll make your goal since there's no way you'll give me something to make fun of you for.

Ok...I am not a big swimmer and will be gone the last week of December.

So... is 5400 yards too lame to sign on for???????

Put me down for 17000 Meters.

I am coming off my longest swim distance of 15300, so an increase of just over 10% seems fair. The Xmas holidays may put a cramp in my efforts, as we travel a little bit, but I still think I can "name that tune" in 17000 meters!

Go Blizzards (as in the Dairy Queen kind, since I will be having a few of those after swimming this far).

All I do these days is swim... Swim Swim Swim... Swim Swim Swim...

It hurts neither my butt nor my knee...

Those unfamiliar with your recent history might be a little curious about that comment, you know.

We are unstoppable now.  Nobody beats Whizzzzz in the pool.

Yea, after a brief chortle I realized there's probably a perfectly reasonable explanation why her knee and butt are an issue.  Best wishes for rapid improvement of your knee and butt.

Stop discussing my knee and butt.

And nothing beats a Whizzzzzzzzz in the pool? Is that what you said? We don't want to dredge that whole thing up again, do we?

For the records, Whizzzzzzz does not whizzzzz in the pool.
