Obviously I think the Broncos are going to do it. There D has been playing better in the post season. Peyton has a running game he can use. He has too many weapons to cover all the time. Seattle will get pressure on him. It's not going to be easy... but the weather is going to be fine, and I just think too many things are lining up for the Broncos. I will not be surprised if Seahawks win... they are a solid team... but I think Manning is going to get #2 and be the first QB to win with different teams.

We'll see.... but this is the first time I have been a fan of a team and got to watch the whole run up for the last couple years and it's fun to be here.

Nonsense... 2014 is the Year of the Horse... we are set!

They ran a bunch of simulations in Madden 25 and Denver got the slight nod with a slightly more wins...   So that settles it.

Well, not that it's Friday, only a couple more hours till the work day ends and the countdown really starts!

What are everyone's plans?  I decided to have a "Bronco" brunch.  Whip up some  home made eggs benedict, bloody Mary's and some cinnamon rolls from scratch.  Watch a lot of pre game stuff.  THEN I'm heading down to the strip.  My company reserved an area at the Foundation Room in Mandalay Bay so they are providing the open bar and buffet.  Should be TASTEY!  The wife works another party (that's Vegas for you!) so her and her friends will catch up with me in the forth quarter after they let her go...

I'm heading over to my sister-in-law's place with the biggest TV. All 3 of the SIL's husbands are Hawks fans so we'll be set. There is going to be a lot of running around screaming or possible a cult-like mass suicide after the game. So if you don't hear from me, you know what happened.

My brother and SIL live in Washington.  There hasn't been any verbal confrontation yet, but we both have posted our obligatory team logos on Facebook and the typical "GO - team name here - GO!".  Probably best to avoid and actual correspondence for a while till after the sting is over for one of us.

I said this earlier in the year and I think tonight showed it. This is one of the best defenses of all time. I think they will have vaulted themselves into that conversation from here on out.

That's just it... they were not in that conversation before the game.... but they are now. They dominated the best offense ever... I mean what more is there to say.

And like I said... invariably one team does not show up... and I really thought that was going to be Seattle, but it was Denver.... the pressure of the Super Bowl cracks great teams... the pressure of Manning and the Broncos loosing was too great... and they said "Oh $it" on the very first snap and never recovered. Seattle had absolutely nothing to loose but to go play football. And they played and dominated.

I did not expect such a bad showing... but in the end it was Denver in the game... poor special teams and defense, and if you disrupt Peyton you can beat him. That's no secret, it's just hard to do... same for Brady. It wasn't even fun... not even for a minute.

Last year they were not playing Championship ball even though they should have beat Ravens. This year we knew we had holes, but I expected a competitive game even if we lost. Oh well... there's always next season.....

As I mentioned on page 1, I'm a huge Seahawks fan. I attended the first franchise playoff game at the Kingdome. Coincidentally, it was against the Broncos, and we beat them handily.

It's been a long haul. Great job, Hawks!

Amen brother!! Last night was almost enough to purge the memories of Dave Krieg being from the "now defunct Milton college" and his little, fumbling hands.

If couldn't have an epic nail biter for entertainment, I'll take a blowout and franchise first Superbowl win - GO HAWKS!!

Monica should be happy with that victory.  I was just rooting against Denver.

Ad's overall were mediocre.  Some were pretty funny and some were dumb.  And one has proven to be ridiculously controversial.

I may or may not have lost my voice and will be living on throat lozenges today... and I'm sure as hell wearing my jersey at work!!!

GO HAWKS!!

The commercials were just kind of "meh" this year, but I also wasn't really paying attention to them as I was spending much more time making Tony deaf in one ear.

Would have been nice to see a football game instead of whatever that was. Definitely goes to show anything can happen on any given Sunday.

Wish I would have had some money on Seattle +30, whoever did probably got to retire today.

Not one of the BEST performances, but certainly a COMPLETE performance by Seahawks.   They beat Manning the way teams have ALWAYS beat him; pressure him with lineman, don't blitz, drop LBs into shallow coverage and take away his big plays.  Knock him around and make him scramble (if you can call it that).

SEAHAWKS!

That was an unbelievable performance.  They completely dominated every part of the game and made Denver pay for every one of their mistakes.

Seattle just opened as the favorite to repeat...at 9/2 odds.  Significantly better than San Fran who's at 15/2.

The difference between Seattle and Baltimore of last year is that they don't have a lot of key players entering free agency.  The offense should improve if Harvin can stay healthy and Wilson takes another step forward in his growth.  Lynch should have another good year in him before he starts getting closer to that age of 30.

The key will be if anyone holds out for a new contract.  After next year, Chris Clemons, Cliff Avril, Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, and Malcolm Smith will all be unrestricted free agents.  So while Seattle is young...they also have a lot of guys ready to say...show me the money.

Not a slam to Manning...he's one of the greatest ever, but an imobolie QB is going to struggle against a D like Seattles. Not saying the broncos would have won w Tebow...but I think he would have put more points on the board. And he sure would have made the game more exciting to watch!

Well Brady is no gazell either. I'm actually getting sick of all the yapping how Wilson and Kapernick are the new prototype.... right, because nobody has ever thought of a mobile QB before. Those guys are just sitting around everywhere and nobody will let them QB because they are too mobile.

Vick was a runner, and he sucked at QB... he was just OK. Big Ben is mobile, Romo is mobile, Elway and Farvre were mobile. RG3, Russel and Kap just happen to be really talented running and throwing.... but the thing is.... hobble RG3 and what does he do for you? They figure out real quick they can't have their franchise player betting beat to heck... that why you have running backs and why they have short careers. And the other problem with running QBs is they rely on it too much, and won't commit to the pocket and progressing as a passer.

What you need is a pocket passer that can keep plays alive with his mobility... and yes, if Peyton had Elways mobility holy crap.... But we already know Manning's days are numbered... and so are Brady's. Andrew Luck... that is a big strong mobile QB... that guy is truly dangerous. We will see how Kap and Wilson progress.... they are extremely talented.

I think it's important to make a distinction. You need a QB who can also run. Not a running QB. You also need to teach your QB how to not get hit. Look at Kaep/Wilson. I've only seen Wilson take a few big hits ever and most of them are in the pocket. He doesn't push for that extra half a yard, he slides. Kaep does the same thing. RG3 though, is more like Vick. He is always trying to grab that extra foot and that's how you end up with a torn ACL. I think you saw him change his style a bit last year though.

Edit: I'm saying if you want a mobile QB, not you have to have a mobile QB.
