Obviously short, I think you could add 5min+ to his time and get about what he should of swam. I'll ask him what he thinks when I see him.  Not sure, but the bike could of been short also? Though not as much as the swim is. The same guy(and a few others) just seemed a bit fast. Not out of the question fast, could of had a really great day sort of time, but a bit questionable. My cycle computer showed just a bit long (which it tends to) and someone else's GPS showed about a tenth or 2 short for the bike. So it may have been short, but it couldn't have been much. It was just fast out there. |

My GPS had the bike right on for the distance. It was just fast if you did it right. The run was right on, though more hilly than I had expected I think... GREAT JOB ALL! WOOHOO! |

Regular 86 Mckinney, TX | Subject: RE: LongHorn Triathlon Festival - Half Iron My garmin had the following. Swim roughly 1.04 miles or 257.49 meters short. Bike 55.96 miles Run 13.12 miles I probably didn't swim real straight so the swim course could have been off by a little more. |

I'm not sure how much movement there is in that lake anyway. Now, we definitely were swimming with the wind. Which, now that I think about it, is probably what you meant. Sorry. Edit: And 300 meters short is good. If it was that, then I still legitimately went under 5 hours. Anymore than that, though, and it's got an asterisk next to it. Great job everyone! The wind was tough on some sections and it got hot in the afternoon. Plus, I had a cramp from eating too much brisket. |

I think the breeze and overcast skies really helped and contributed to some pretty fast bike splits, too. |

It could be anything ,, maybe the wind was blowing moer than they thought or it changed directions effecting the anchor lines. etc |

Austin City Limits Music Fest is moving to Oct 2-4, so we're being forced to move....unless you wanna pay $350 for a hotel room, have no porta potties, fences, or tents Definitely increases the likelihood of it being wetsuit legal again, and cooler.....I'd actually wanted to move it later in the month, so this is a good excuse to do this.... |
