I so hope I see that sign

Bib 2474, M 45-49, wave goes off at 7:36

There will be tracking on the IM live site, but I am having my wife use the ironapp app, for the first time.  Unfortunately, they used to have intermediate bike splits but haven't for a while

Just for Rymac, Revolver (1 min hard, 1 min recover, repeat). First one at 414. Next 12 at 420 or better. Stopped after #13 due to an oncoming calf cramp. And it hit pretty well while riding easy. Riding has really stunk the past couple weeks, so I'll definitely take it. TSS of 67 in 45 min, and don't forget I skipped 2 (or 3 really).

Gotta lover the "Purpose" of this one: "Beat the crap out of you as quickly as possible". Revised version is nice too. Like the motivational quotes: "All that you suffer is all that you are" -Smashing Pumpkins

Haven't been around the forums but happened to check in now that spring is here.  Good luck to everyone racing this weekend! (little jealous)

Been busy so not enough time to fit it all in.  Recently decided to do a bike block.  Been missing the days of a couple years ago when I had more time to train!  Hopefully in a year or two I'll free up some.

Brigby, I may need to check out revolver. I've got Angels, Wretched and the Hunted on rotation right now.  Still trapped inside because I ride mostly at 5:30AM.

Hey -great to hear from you! Just peaked at your logs, looks like comeback training is going very well. I don't sufferfest (if I am on the trainer it is all I can do just to stare at my head unit. My wife swears by Revolver (because it proves women are tougher than men, evidently) and says that The Wretched is, well, wretched. She says it is the one that comes closest to puking, but she still beats Cadel every time.

What bike race(s) are you thinking about this year?

Well Done!!  The 30"/30" or 1'/1' sure look like a nice easy workout on paper...until Revolver brings the pain!!  I typically do the ON portion at my 5MP.  Looks like you may have even been going harder than that.

I use Revolver, or similar workout, quite a bit for my VO2 work and has been a weekly staple the last 4 months.  Good workout to raise the ceiling.

Good luck to the racers this weekend.  I am jealous!

I tend to use A Very Dark Place more often. 5 x 4'/3.5' recovery. The middle section of Local Hero should work well too, 5 x 3'/2'. Still learning how to pace There Is No Try and Downward Spiral. I think the ones lasting several minutes are supposed to be better for us, then I use the short ones once in awhile (Revolver most often) to break it up some so things don't go flat.

More recently I've been having some bizarre energy loss problems mid-workout, and the shorter ones seem to be helping some, so I've been working them more. Hopefully I can get this back up to last year soon. Amazingly, this wasn't as tiring as I thought it might be. Think the cramp came on because I haven't been working near this level for a bit.

Just got back from the pool after having done a set of 20x100 on 2:00, all of them fast.  Holy cow - serious lactic acid burn on that one!!!  Didn't help that I started out a little ambitious on the first few and dug myself into a bit of a hole and then my right calf was threatening to seize up on every turn for the last few of them.

I've got an easy 45 min run later today as well and I think a nap may be in order at some point....

I saved myself for Hawaii and France. I will buy a jersey at one or both of them. Just long sleeve top, sweater and Mug and water bottle for this one! Haha. Have to conserve the IMcrap funds.

Did short run and ride this morning. Slipped on my compression tights and just got my run gear together to drop off at T2. Going to go down and watch the kids run their mile. Then back for my pre-race pasta Alfredo with chicken and peas. Then more R&R time before bed. I may have packed along a few M&Ms in my run bag for the run or post run. We will see what I feel like...at IMLP the M&Ms were the greatest! Haha

With those dimples you are going to be fast as lightening! But shave the beard and I am betting 10 additional watts at zero yaw.
