I did a training tri today...2100m, 47km, 10km.  My buddy asked me to do the bike and run tomorrow, but I am working, so we decided to do it today.  I am tired

What's up guys. Been crazy around here and haven't been on in a few days. Looks like I've missed a few pages. Good luck to the racers this weekend!!

Had a great weekend!! Went down to Houston and rode the 112 mile Ironman Texas Bike course on Friday. Did a nice 2.4 mile open water swim Saturday and followed it up with a 15 mile run this morning.

Feeling very strong. Less than 1 month to go!!

Hey, Jonathan.  Sounds like you're in great shape for your IM!  I've been feeling a little punky but still able to get in my workouts.  Mostly working on swim technique while also increasing cardio fitness.  Been able to get outside more now that the weather is better and loving it!

Today is the 2nd day of Denver's 4/20 celebration, a pot festival that draws thousands.  With pot now being legal in CO, the attendance is expected to be even "higher".  Police have decided not to firmly enforce the "no smoking in public", focusing mostly on public safety.  Last year, before it was even legal, they only arrested a few people.  The whole thing has been a pretty big deal in the news around here.

Good Day everyone, I hope your weekends were enjoyable. I have been quick posting lately and today is no different. A bunch of "adjustments" at work and they haven't all gone over well, so more crudfest here. However, on a good note, today is Patriot's Day for those that celebrate it, and I've heard there is a big race today.

Good Luck Salty, I hope for nothing but the best for you and everyone there!

I'm really glad that you were able to preview the bike course!  You'll be amazed how much you remember it come race day.

Me too!!!!!

It certainly gives me confidence and a great knowledge of the course can help me with my pacing. It's a tougher course than I expected but certainly doable. About 20-25 miles of chip seal at the 60 mile mark so I think that will be the toughest part of the day. 60 miles on the bike seems to be a mentally tough spot for me anyway. The course certainly has some really pretty parts as well. I'm genuinely excited. I honestly didn't feel like I was ready but after this weekend I am ready. Just need to be smart these next 4 weeks and eat well, hydrate, sleep, and spend time with the family. So excited

I put "9154" into the athlete tracking on the BAA site and had a brief moment of panic.  It listed someone else!  Oh, it says 2013 at the top.  I guess this year's site isn't up yet?

Quick schedule question. I am building my race schedule for when I return in September. I already have the B2B Half for Oct 25. I am debating about adding the Army Ten Miler on October 12 as my last long run and the start of my taper.

What do the Manatees say?

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
