Which is to be expected. It is a Friendly. Wisla Krakow just finished their season so their players are tired. The Fire is just starting their season so they didn't want to get anyone hurt. Only one or two Main starters in for the Fire and then a tired Wisla Team. 0-0 tie in the end. The atmosphere, though, was something else. I would guess 70-30 Wisla fans v. Fire fans. Lots, and I mean LOTS of Polish nationals. And they were VERY vocal. Tons of fun too. Very passionate (I love to see that in a fan) and many of them (not all but many) were absolutely ripped out of their mind and over joyed with getting to see their favorite team from back home. Two were so over joyed, they actually jumped the fence and ran onto the pitch. Yep, we had two fans invade the pitch, just like you see on those "Sports Bloopers" shows. Pretty funny. The grass was a bit wet and the security guards kept falling down trying to catc h him. I wonder if that means we have "made it". |
