Subject: RE: Biggest Loser I missed the last few episodes, but made sure I skimmed through this one on my DVR. The binge with Chris...so weird. As others said there was a cameraman in the room...wtf? And there was a platter on her bed, so it looks like she got room service. Who the heck orders room service especially when NBC is paying for it...and it will show up on the bill. If you're going to binge eat while on a weight loss show, don't you at least try to hide it. As far as the walk out...LOL. I agree that these contestants feel entitled. They get free personal training that for most of them...saved their lives...yet they cry and b!tch about how the producers are running the show? If I were NBC, I would make like I screwed up, appologize to all the contestants who walked off, and promise them that I wouldn't bring back any previously eliminated contestants. Then, at the finale, shock them with the news that the grand prize is now $1, and the at home winner gets $250k. BOO YAH!!! |

Seriously! It IS like someone went out to the store and got all of it for her! Mayo would DEFINITELY not be my binge of choice. Now, the PB and chocolate...I'm with ya...but MAYO???? Ew!!!!! |

I mean...when you're on the ranch...what is there to buy? Why would you even need money when everything is provided for you? They aren't even allowed to have cell phones...why would they have wallets? I don't know...I guess I'm so used to seeing them walk around in their BL colored shirts and their shorts or tights. I never see any of them carrying anything but their water bottles...let alone a purse, wallet, phone, etc. But who knows what goes on off camera. Last season (or whenever it was) when Rulon was eating chips in his room...I thought...how the heck did he even get chips? Did he sneak off the ranch in the middle of the night? Last season (or whenever it was) when Rulon was eating chips in his room...I thought...how the heck did he even get chips? Did he sneak off the ranch in the middle of the night? I suspect that in addition to tons of healthy food on the ranch there is a quantity of non-healthy food. Call it a temptation, call it sabotage or ammo for drama...but I think it's there. Also, did anyone find it odd Chris called Santa? I mean, aren't there rules about that on the ranch? The contestants make such a big deal about getting to call their families as a reward...so, why could Chris just pick up the phone and call him? That whole scene looked almost orchestrated so that Chris could have an excuse to go home. |

The contestants make such a big deal about getting to call their families as a reward...so, why could Chris just pick up the phone and call him? That whole scene looked almost orchestrated so that Chris could have an excuse to go home. That was exactly what I was thinking when it was on. One of the prior seasons, Bob made a big deal about loaning his cell phone to Moses to let him call his dad. For Chris to just pick up the phone, on camera, make a call and for the audience to hear the entire conversation, just seemed to "scripted" to me. The eating also looked scripted. Rulon was caught eating the entire bag of chips via the in room camera, not panned in and out on for what seemed like eternity. I'm starting to watch less and less of the show. If it wasn't recorded and I could fast forward through most of the drama, I doubt I'd be watching it. My wife and I used to watch it religiously to cheer on the contestants and see how they did. But the prior seasons were focused on the weight loss. Sure there was drama and game playing going on but nothing like what we've seen this season. Now we just want to see who goes home and who is still there. Steve |

Veteran 297 Kansas | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser Their little strike could have been so easily solved and not a single viewer would have objected. When they staged their sit out, producers should have brought around a van and taken them all to the airport. They already had the other 14 coming in town, just pick the final 3 from the returning 14. My guess is that the 3 that stayed were talked into the protest, none seemed to be very convinced of their position. Loved seeing the attorney blow a big hole in their only "contractual" argument. What does that say about Mark that he would protest the chance for his very own son to get back on the show. I think he is a pastor, and can't imagine what in THE HELL his positive message would ever be at church. As for Buddy, I am sure his wife was like thanks for being away for 3 months only to throw away the chance to win the $$$ Idiots all of them, bar none the worst season of contestants ever. |

Champion 8766 Evergreen, Colorado | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser Wow, that was even worse than I thought. They all signed a contract that SAID the returning contestants would come back...and they were still upset? WTF???? Kim's line about them "deserving it" made me sick. Um, hello...if they win within the rules of the game...THEY DESERVE IT!!!! So, either there was some serious dehydration tonight OR this went on for a few weeks before everything got resolved? No way should they have put up such large numbers tonight. 15 lbs for Kim? That is a week 1 number, not week 16! Or maybe they had to go 2-3 weeks between eliminations because the players quit and threw off the time line. If it was going to be 2 weeks before the returning contestants came back they may have just skipped an elimination weigh in or two. I think they went to 1 hour episodes because they probably intended to have a whole extra episode to eliminate at least one more contestant...that quit on them so they lost a whole episode.... |

Elite 3088 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser That was classic. "This surprise is unfair!" "You signed rules that said this exact thing would happen." "Um...never mind." And Conda's comment that Jeremy deserved to be there more than Conda or Kim?!? More than Conda, yeah. More than Kim, not a chance in hell. I have no doubt that Conda and Jeremy went into this season after watching Vinny last season: get some allies early on to keep you safe, coast in the middle of the pack for the first 8-10 weeks, and then start really working when your chances for getting eliminated start to rise. |

Expert 1019 Muncie, IN | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser I missed the first 15 minutes! Sounds like they found out a contestant would be coming back and they threw a little hissy fit and pouted and said "No fair!" The fastest way to get me thinking you might be an ungrateful little spoiled brat is to throw up the "no fair" comment / implication. Free trainer, free rent, free food, free laundry, free medical attention, trip to Hawaii, trip to wihte house, make-over....and what did it cost? You were away from your family. What did you get in addition to all those things I listed YOU SAVED YOUR LIFE. Disqualify those that left and send them one hellacious bill for all the things they received. Whiney, ungrateful pansies.... |

The "it's not fair" OMG get over yourself. Life isn't fair and you are on a game show not the it's all fair show. |

Champion 10019 , Minnesota | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser That was appalling. Mark is totally done for me. I liked him fine before, but that was so lame. Buddy I think will really regret that. He didn't seem convinced, even when he got into the van. I can't remember which one said they had to "stick to their morals." What, your moral do not include following through with promises and not breaking legal contracts? I really hope NBC sticks it to them GOOD. I loved how the lawyer laid it out for Jeremy. Although I wished he'd said more plainly "If you didn't understand the contract, you should have gotten an lawyer then or not signed it. Not understand is not a legal way to get out of a contract." I really think people don't understand that and anyone who's dumb enough to think that's a reason, needs it spelled out. For the first 54 minutes of the show I actually started to like Conda more than I ever had. I was impressed that she realized she doesn't stick with things and that she needed to follow through, even if she didn't like it. The end, with the whiny high-pitched "It's not fair" and to suggest that Kim didn't deserve it - Ugh, back to square one. Kim was hard for me to read. She looked really disappointed, yet she was going to go along with it. I don't know what she did to lose that much weight, but good for her for playing along. She is at 41% lost right now, the highest! And finally, Jeremy, is pathetic. His main excuse was that the people who went home didn't work hard? First, if they make it back it's a sign they DID work hard. And with no help! Second, going home didn't mean they didn't work hard on the ranch. Half of the people voted off were the victims of his alliance! The only hard work he did was scheming and plotting to get by until now. It will be really hard to pick who is the true biggest loser, because all look like losers to me. |

Elite 3088 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Biggest Loser Afletcher - 2012-04-18 6:28 AM I missed the first 15 minutes! The contestants got wind that ALL of the previously eliminated contestants would be brought back for a special challenge and the winner of that challenge automatically got a spot in the finale. Basically, EXACTLY what they did last season with the marathon. Anyway, someone in the group managed to get the others riled up enough that they were all going to quit over the "unfairness" of it all. Allie and a guy from NBC's legal team sat down with each contestant one at a time, where they NBC guy showed them the rules of the show that everyone of them had signed. In those rules, it didn't just say that NBC could change things up when they wanted, it explicitly spelled out that the challenge would happen and the winner would be in the finale. Then they told them to suck it up or leave, but leaving meant no finale, no eligibility for at home prize, nothing. Mark and Buddy decided to quit. I agree with the comment about losing all respect for Mark. He and Kim were the only two that I was interested in seeing win. I also think it was the biggest mistake for Mark to quit. I don't think he had much of a shot at winning, because it would have been really tough for him to match percentages with Conda and Jeremy. Conda started at nearly the same weight as him and Jeremy weighed almost 100 pounds more. However, with his demeanor during the show and how fit he was looking by the end, I think he was the most likely one to get endorsements from NBC to do ads, come back on the show, or even get hired as a trainer at one of the BL fitness centers. |
